Contest Rules / Terms and Conditions

1. Submit an entry matching the contest's theme: We invite you to gather the highlights of your Cape Cod, Nantucket, or Martha’s Vineyard vacation through pictures, captions, and stories. Arrange your memories onto an online scrapbook, and then share them with your family and friends. This cherished scrapbook will be yours to keep forever as a reminder and invitation to get back to the Cape and Islands.
2. Photos must be uploaded directly to the WeNeedaVacation.com website. Entries by email or mail will not be accepted.
3. Entries will be accepted only if they meet the following criteria:
   • They must be taken on Cape Cod (including the Off Cape towns listed on WeNeedaVacation.com), Martha's Vineyard, or Nantucket.
   • Vacationers, homeowners, and residents of these areas may enter the contest.
   • Submissions consist of a series of photos and related captions. Each entry may consist of up to 30 photos.
   • You must be at least 18 years of age to submit an entry. Individuals of any age may take the photos.
   • You or someone in your vacation party must take the photos submitted. They may not come from publicly or commercially available sources.
   • Your entry must include your name and email address. Only your first name and first letter of your last name will be published on our website.
   • You may submit only one photo scrapbook.
   • You must agree to all Terms and Conditions of the contest.
4. Entries may be made between July 1 and Sunday, September 14, 2014.
5. All entries must be approved by WeNeedaVacation.com. Approval could take two full business days.
6. All voting takes place on WeNeedaVacation.com directly on the contest entries’ web pages. It works as follows:
• Voters may cast votes for multiple entries, but may vote for an individual entry only once a day.
• Winners will be determined by tabulating votes on WeNeedaVacation.com.
• Voters must provide their email address.
• Entries are grouped by month in which the entry is approved: July, August or September. The 6 entries with the most votes per month go into the Finals. This gives late entries as much chance as early entries, because they are only competing against each other.
• Voting begins on July 1 and goes through September 21.
• All Finalists will be presented to a panel of judges, who will select the winner by September 26.
7. Prizes:
• If the winner is a vacationer, $500 will be awarded to the winner when s/he presents a signed lease for a vacation rental found on WeNeedaVacation.com after the conclusion of the contest. To be eligible, the home must be active on WeNeedaVacation.com after September 1, 2014.
• If the winner is a WeNeedaVacation.com homeowner, the $500 prize will be a credit against future listing costs with us.
• If the winner is a local Cape Codder or Islander, a gift certificate for $500 will be awarded towards a future vacation rental on our site. Gift this to friends or family!
8. By uploading Content to the contest, the photographer grants WeNeedaVacation.com the following rights: A royalty-free, perpetual license to display, distribute, reproduce, and create derivatives of the Content, in whole or in part, without further review or participation from you, in any medium now existing or subsequently developed, in editorial and promotional uses, or for any promotional means and purpose by WeNeedaVacation.com.
9. WeNeedaVacation.com reserves the right to disqualify anyone who, in their opinion, has tampered with or disrupted the entry or voting process of this contest or has violated the rules.
10. Any Content considered by WeNeedaVacation.com to be inappropriate will not be accepted.
11. If the contest cannot be run as planned for any reason, including technical problems, WeNeedaVacation.com reserves the right to cancel, curtail, modify or suspend the contest.
