Wellesley, June 26, 2007 - The Association to Preserve Cape Cod will benefit from entries to WeNeedaVacation.com's Summer Photo Contest, which runs until Labor Day.
WeNeedaVacation.com wants visitors to Cape Cod and the Islands to capture in pictures what vacation means to them. Entries will be posted on the popular vacation rental-by-owner website and 10 finalists selected. Voting by the public will choose the winner, who will receive $1,000 to be used toward renting any of the thousands of vacation homes WeNeedaVacation.com lists.
"We all need vacation time to relax and rejuvenate, to reconnect with family and friends," says Jeff Talmadge, co-owner with his wife, Joan, of WeNeedaVacation.com. "In today's busy and stressful world, the opportunity to visit and enjoy the beaches, villages and landscapes of what has remained a peaceful and pristine place is a much needed tonic."
For every entry received, WeNeedaVacation.com will donate $5.00 to the Association to Preserve Cape Cod. The APCC's mission is to promote policies and programs that foster the preservation of the natural resources of Cape Cod, resources that are the draw for many summer tourists.
Maggie Geist, Executive Director of the APCC remarked, "I loved the sample photo entries on the website! WeNeedaVacation.com's Summer Photo Contest makes us even more appreciative of the commitment and dedication of our supporters, whose generosity helps us in our mission."
