About We Are Nature's Best Hope: Spring Gardening Symposium 2025...The Master Gardener Association of Cape Cod presents Doug Tallamy, world renowned ecologist and champion of restoring nature to our backyards, as keynote speaker for its annual Spring Gardening Symposium, "We Are Nature's Best Hope," on Saturday, March 29.

Tallamy's books, "Nature's Best Hope," "Bringing Nature Home" with Rick Darke and "The Nature of Oaks" are New York Times best sellers.
Learn about the unbreakable link between native plants and wildlife, the impact a home gardener has on both, and what you can do to support local ecology.

Hear from Cape Cod Cooperative Extension's Russ Norton on why Invasive plants can blight the landscape, and also from Trevor Smith, Weston Nurseries' Design and Education Manager, on how to incorporate native plants into your garden.

The Spring Gardening Symposium will be held this year at Cape Cod Regional Technical High School in Harwich. The symposium fee is $40 and includes refreshments plus door prizes including plants, tools, gift cards, design books.

Pre-registration is required. No ticket sales at the door. Online registration opens Saturday, Feb.22. Visit www.mastergardenerscc.org for more information.
