Seaside Cemetery Walk and Tour

About Seaside Cemetery Walk and Tour...The Atwood Museum and Chatham Historical Society is happy to announce the return of our Cemetery Walk and Tour on October 20, 2023. Join us for a stroll through Chatham's beautiful and historic Seaside Cemetery, the resting place of some of Chatham's most famous and influential residents. A guide will walk you through the cemetery, as actors educate you on the lives of several selected Chatham residents and about the history of the cemetery itself. The tour will be a roughly 1-hour walk through Seaside Cemetery. Afterwards, we will return to the Atwood Museum where you can learn even more about these–and many other– important figures in our town's history while enjoying coffee, hot chocolate, and treats.

Transportation will be provided between the Atwood Museum and Seaside Cemetery. A $35 fee covers the cemetery tour, transportation, and admission to the Atwood Museum. In the event of poor weather, a rain date is scheduled for October 27th.

Please note that the tour will require guests to walk up some inclines and across uneven surfaces. As such, we cannot recommend this tour to anyone with severe physical limitations.
