About Race for Open Space...One of the summer’s most popular events, the 5K (3.1 miles) Race for Open Space, will be held this year on Saturday July 13th at 8:00 a.m. starting at the Milestone Cranberry Bog. Organized by the Nantucket Conservation Foundation Associates, the race attracts serious runners, casual joggers, walkers and those who are simply avid conservation supporters. Proceeds from the Race will go to the Foundation’s Land Fund which helps preserve and protect the Island’s invaluable open spaces.
