About Giant Pumpkin Patch...The first of two full trailer trucks of pumpkins and gourds will soon arrive at West Yarmouth Congregational Church. Known as “the Pumpkin Church”, this Annual Pumpkin Patch is the largest Halloween nonprofit pumpkin sale in the state. The church, located at 383 Route 28, will be staffed daily from arrival of the first truck, October 1st through Sunday, October 31st. Sale hours will be 9 am to dusk except Sunday hours beginning at 11:30 am after worship. It has become a tradition for Yarmouth residents as well as tourists from all over the world to photograph the church’s expansive, pumpkin-filled front lawn. Many vie to purchase the most unusual shaped pumpkin or gourd, from palm-sized ounces to fifty- plus pounds.
