About Classical Piano with Ana Glig...Enjoy an afternoon of Scarlatti, Chopin and Liszt performed by Harwich resident and classical pianist Ana Gligvashvili (Glig) at the Eastham Public Library at 1 pm. Free and open to the public. Born in Telavi, Georgia, Ana holds a Bachelor’s degree from Tbilisi State Conservatory, a Master’s degree in piano performance from Mannes College, The New School of Music and post Master's from NYU Steinhardt. Praised for her ability to "capture hearts" by Musical America, Ana has been presented as a soloist and a chamber musician at venues such as Steinway Hall, Consulate General of Poland, Bohemian National Hall, Ukrainian Institute of America, Consulate of Germany (New York), Frederick Loewe and Black Box Theaters ( NYU). She was prize winner of the Tel-Hai International Piano Concerto Competition (Israel) and recipient of the Alfred Cortot prize for the best romantic piece at the Tbilisi International Piano Competition.
