About Bands for the Bahamas - Hurricane Dorian Relief Concert...Ten local bands have donated their talent and will headline Bands for the Bahamas, a Hurricane Dorian Relief concert scheduled for Friday, Sept. 27 from 6-10pm at Cape Cod Beer in Hyannis. Proceeds will benefit hurricane victims through the One Eleuthera Foundation, a nonprofit Bahamas-based organization dedicated to comprehensive, sustainable development in the island nation. The concert is being organized by Bahamas aficionados Steve and Sarah Swain – whose band will play at the benefit, Josh Stewart, who teaches at the Cape Cod Lighthouse Charter School and Nassau, Bahamas native Noelle Pina, executive director of the Orleans Chamber of Commerce. "With all the terrible news coming out of Abaco and Grand Bahama, people on the Cape are looking for a way to help, and this concert provides that opportunity," Pina says. "We hope people from all over Cape Cod will come to help rebuild these devastated areas."In addition to Sarah Swain & the Oh Boys, the entertainment lineup will feature The Rip It Ups, the Catie Flynn Band, Bert Jackson Wicked Trio, Zoë Lewis, The Ticks, Earth Junior, Sarah Burrill, Anna and the Moderns, and Mozelle.Drinks will be provided by the host – Cape Cod Beer – with food provided by the Pineapple Caper food truck. A raffle to benefit One Eleuthera will feature a 6" long wall-mounted steel great white shark sculpture by artist Steve Swain of The Frying Pan Gallery in Wellfleet.
