About A Wampanoag Cultural Experience :Kids Teaching Kids"...Experience Wampanoag culture through the children, "Kids Teaching Kids", an event to take place August 1, from 5:00 to 8:00pm at the Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. Wampanoag children are among the teachers sharing their culture with non-Native children and adults: story-telling, corn husk doll-making, dancing, singing, canoe-making, food, and other aspects of their culture. All are welcome (particularly children) to this free family event, a collaboration among the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe Education Department, the Waquoit Bay Reserve, and L.I.N.K. (Linking Indigenous & Non-Indigenous Knowledge).
