One of the many treasures of a Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, or Nantucket vacation is a good ole-fashioned lobster roll. Love the traditional cold lobster roll or the hot roll topped with melted butter. It’s an annual summer tradition to enjoy at least one lobster roll.
Here are a few places on the Cape and Islands that offer what we consider a top-notch lobster roll:
Falmouth – The Raw Bar located off Main Street overlooking Falmouth Harbor. Check out their website to see a picture of their “monstah lobstah” roll which boasts to be loaded with 100% lobster meat.
19 Raw Oyster Bar
Edgartown – 19 Raw Oyster Bar is located on Church Street in the heart of Edgartown and opens for the season on April 1st. Since its opening in July 2017, this casual and fun dining experience offers amazing fresh food and drink. Sit outside on the patio, and enjoy a lobster roll and local brew.
Nantucket – The Lobster Trap is located on Washington Street and opens in May. You’ll also spot their popular food truck at Cisco Brewery. The plump lobster roll comes on a toasted Brioche roll. Enjoy the casual eatery, offering inside and outside seating.
Sir Crickets
Orleans – Sir Crickets is located next to Nauset Fish Market and the Bird Watcher’s store. Open year round, this tiny little place is filled with delicious smells. Enjoy fried food, clam chowder and a generous lobster roll. Dine in or take it to go – great picnic food for the beach or bike trails, too!
Dennis – Sesuit Harbor Café is located on the Sesuit Harbor, overlooking Cape Cod Bay. We wait each spring to learn when they are opening for the season. Lobster rolls are plentiful and memorable. Learn more about Sesuit Harbor in our video:
