Recommendations for Great Meals on Outer Cape Cod

Becky Fischer | 3/2/2019

Living on the Cape is really fantastic. One aspect is the food. The Outer Cape has so many excellent restaurants that prepare local seafood, fresh and interesting entrées and sweet treats. Here is a list and a video highlighting some favorite places to enjoy the tastes of Cape Cod.

Mac’s Fish House – Provincetown – I’ve eaten lunch here twice and really loved the atmosphere and food. We sat outside. Nicest waiter in the world. Menu choice – Clam chowder, raw bar, and sushi

Provincetown Fudge Factory – We stopped in here one night and ended up spending quit a bit of money on homemade chocolates. Difficult to choose. Menu choice – Peanut butter cups

The Penney Patch - Provincetown - This is where the kids may want to explore. Candy, salt water taffy and fudge. You'll see more in the video below. Good news - they deliver! Menu Choice - Strawberry taffy

Montano’s Restaurant – Truro – I have not dined here, but my husband has and he raved about it. Italian food with water views. Menu choice – Scallops piccata

The Wicked Oyster – Wellfleet – Dine for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We’ve been there for each meal and always happy. Menu choice – Garden omelet – perhaps the best omelet I’ve ever had.

PB Boulangerie – Wellfleet – French bakery and restaurant. Outstanding breads, croissants, tartes. Anything from the bakery will be excellent. We’ve also eaten dinner and been pleased. Menu choice – Almond croissant or in the Bistro, the Seafood chowder.

The Local Break – Eastham – Lively setting with bar area. Menu choice – Tuna sandwich with sushi grade tuna, avocado wasabi sauce. Sweet potato fries worth the upcharge!

Fairway Bakery – Eastham – Small bakery connected to the Fairway Restaurant. Similar menu to Hole in One in Orleans. Menu choice – Toasted coconut donut.

Here’s a video of even more recommendations for great food on the Outer Cape.
