There is nothing like visiting a candy shop and indulging in the nostalgia of colorful sweets. Cape Cod is a great spot to find some of the best local, handmade treats. I set out on an adventure to find a variety of candies throughout the Cape, just in time for Halloween!
My first stop on my trip down candy lane was Cabot’s Candy in Provincetown. This downtown storefront features classic favorites:chocolates, fudge, and their specialty, salt water taffy. After filling my bag with a mix of flavorful taffy, including peanut butter, ginger, cranberry, chocolate, and some other fun flavors, I sat down by the Provincetown shore and enjoyed my bag of salt water treats before hitting the road for my next destination!
My next stop was a visit to Chatham Candy Manor in the downtown Chatham shopping area. This local spot has charmed customers with its delicious confections since 1955! I was delighted at the rainbow selection of jelly beans, handmade truffles, fudge, and other treats. The staff was very friendly and helped me pick the perfect treats before heading off to my next spot! I left the shop with a “mystery pack” of surprise truffles and a box of homemade fluffernutter fudge.
My last location of the day was Ben and Bill’s Chocolate Emporium, located among the downtown shops in Falmouth. Ben and Bill’s offers visitors homemade ice cream, unique candies, and a variety of handmade chocolates. I enjoyed watching employees make the chocolates in the storefront window, forming fun shapes with their delicious chocolate. I purchased a pack of truffles and marveled at the chocolate creation display before heading home for the day.
I highly recommend checking out some of the many fun candy stores located throughout Cape Cod. Most stores offer a fun experience for the entire family. Visitors typically can pick their own selection and admire the creation of candy right before their eyes! What’s your favorite Cape Cod Candy shop?
