From pre-rental communication through departure, nothing but great things to say. We are a family of 5, including 3 kids ages 10 down to 2. We loved everything about Big Shoe! Relaxation spots for all, a beautiful and spacious yard for play and just the right amount of off-the-beaten-path. Equipped with everything you need, and so organized and clean. We look forward to renting again!

Lovely flowing home with lots of room to spread out and NOT be on top of each other. Spent a week here with six hungry teens and the house served its purpose perfectly!!!! Huge kitchen was loaded to make great dinners every night for the teens with big bowls and tons of plates and glasses and all the right tools to make big dinners :) Great deck to dine on and BBQ :) Big YARD, TWO outdoor showers with tons of space to hang towels :) Decorated very tastefully and every room had comfortable chairs and areas to sit in.The walk to the beach was a little bit of a hike but well worth it and good exercise, walk right by a horse farm and wave to the friendly horses :) The only slight draw back.... only one TV but its a huge one :) Everything was a short bike ride away :) The owners are lovely and very easy to get in touch with!!!!! Highly recommend this lovely home and would stay here again in a second!!!!!! Plan on doing that again soon :) Thanks!!!!!!

Our Favorite Nantucket House!

Our family has been going to Nantucket every summer for the last 6 years and has stayed at a different house each year because we have yet to find "the one"... until now.

The Big-Shoe was absolutely perfect for us! We travel with a group of 10 - 4 adults and the rest of the crew are teenagers. The house was set up perfectly to accommodate two couples - for privacy - and the kids could hang out everywhere comfortably. The back yard was HUGE and perfect for all of the baseball and football games we wanted to play. I also have to note how organized and well supplied the home is - everything you need is there and easy to find.

The location is fabulous - walking distance to our favorite beach and the kids are old enough to bike to town or take the Wave.

It's taken a few years but we've found our repeat home on Nantucket!

Big Shoe was Great

The house was very large with a huge kitchen area. That is where everyone always ends up socializing while dinner is being prepared. The house was within walking distance from a great beach. The back yard was huge for the kids to play catch and run races. You need a vehicle to get around the island but the location was very central. The house is well decorated and very clean. All the beds and furniture seem new. Overall there is a very comfortable, clean, island feel to the property.

Stayed a long weekend with family who know the owners. The house is beautiful with plenty of room. Great location, only a couple of minutes drive to Surfside beach and maybe 10 mins to town. Had everything we needed - towels, beach chairs, etc. Loved the outdoor showers (there are two!) Great deck for enjoying a glass of wine. Only thing missing is a fire pit on the patio (maybe to come soon?) Highly recommend.

Wonderful women's weekend at the Big Shoe!

Our group of 7 women stayed at the Big Shoe last weekend and absolutely loved the house, the location. Really relaxing, lots of space for all of us, beautiful back yard and patio. We really loved buying our own seafood and cooking our own dinners. Highly recommend this lovely vaction rental!
