Charming & Pristine Air-Conditioned 'Sconset Cottage for 4!

My family has been renting Etc for decades, and this summer my fiancé and I rented Etc for one week ourselves. It is always a delight to stay in Etc!

The cottage is updated, spotless clean, and well cared for. It is stocked with everything you could ever need, including beach chairs and kitchen necessities. This year we were impressed to see many upgrades in Etc, including AC (!!) and a new large screen mounted TV. The location of the cottage in Sconset couldn't be better (5 minute walk to the market and the beach).

Peter is incredibly attentive and responsive to any needs, and I appreciate his close communication. I forgot something behind after our stay and he hand delivered it to me the next week! We are always happy to return to Etc! Thank you, Peter, for your warm hospitality! show more show less

Situated in the timeless beauty of Sconset, Etc is a quaint cottage that offers visitors all the modern amenities required in a rental property when visiting Nantucket Island. The owner of this cottage places a priority on cleanliness and monitors the property to ensure that it is problem free. The cottage is located on New Street affords easy access to many wonderful Sconset sites such as the town Beach, Sankaty Light, the Bluff Walks and some great restaurants. If you want to stay in the most charming little cottage in the most quaint little village on the most beautiful little island then the cottage called "Etc." in the village of Sconset on the island of Nantucket is where you should stay.

The cottage spotless clean, has everything you need, is very comfortable and is beautifully decorated. You will be in walking distance to the beach which is in walking distance to the Sconset Market (which you will LOVE) and also in walking distance to a sandwich shop that makes the most delicious sandwiches! You will be in walking distance to a few lovely restaurants and the light house too.

While sitting on the back deck of the cottage you are offered privacy as the yard is surrounded by sweet smelling privets. This cottage is nothing less than Perfect. show more show less

We honeymooned on Nantucket Island in August of 1993, fell in love with it, and have been back every year since. In the beginning years we tried a variety of options for our annual summer visit. In the 1990’s we stumbled on Peter’s four ‘Sconset Center properties via an Internet search. What a find! We have stayed in each of them, but our “go to place” is Etc. at 26R New Street. It is ideal for two adults but can also accommodate two young children. The cottage is off the street and is surrounded by a tall hedge making for privacy. It is very tastefully furnished and has always been well maintained and extremely clean. The owner pays attention to details and is meticulous about keeping it in excellent condition. The washer/dryer is a nice amenity. It’s easy to grill on the deck, and it’s just a short walk to the beach and the ‘Sconset market and two of the best restaurants (in our opinion) on the island; the ‘Sconset Café and The Chanticleer. We also enjoy walking to the Summer House Restaurant for the night time bar scene. We highly recommend all four of Peter’s properties.

My family has been renting Etc and Zinnia for 2 weeks for the last 5 summers. However we have been renting from the owners off and on since I was a small child. These homes are the most spectacular cottages in the island. Nestled behind shrubbery to give you the utmost privacy and close to Sconset Market and the beach, they are the perfect getaway! Peter maintains an impeccable home with a welcoming environment. The amenities are great and they provide tips and recommendations for taxis, restaurants, and attractions on the island. Make sure to rent a bike and cruise around the many paths. Don’t worry about knowing where to go, the cottages have a bike trail map waiting for you upon arrival! I would recommend Etc and Zinnia to anyone looking to visit the island! It’s truly a 5 star experience while also feeling like you are home! show more show less
