Romantic Air-Conditioned 'Sconset Center Cottage for 2!

The cottage is well decorated, clean and included a fully equipped kitchen. The bed and mattress was very comfortable; actually more comfy than my own.
Cottage is conveniently located and the bus stop is hardly a 3 minute walk. Sconset beach is only about a 5-8 minute walk away. The Sankaty Head Lighthouse is about 1.5 miles away.
The start of the Bluff walk is no more than 5 minutes away. The buses have various routes and we pretty much saw the whole island by taking the buses. Fee is only $1.50 a ride for seniors. The village of Sconset is quaint and quiet and rich with history. We also took a tour of the Coskata-Coatue Wildlife Refuge and saw many seals and all kinds of sea birds.
All and all, this is a great place to stay and reasonably priced for Nantucket. We would definitely stay here again the next time we visit the island. show more show less

We've rented with Peter several times and had an amazing experience every time. The cottage is in a perfect location in 'Sconset: a short walk to the beach and also steps away from the Market, Cafe, and bus stop. The cottage is beautiful and functional: fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, fast internet, good water pressure in the shower and a private patio. Peter is easy to work with, communicates promptly, and gets all the little things right (tips & recommendations about the island, handy reminders on where to find things, and much more). We will continue to rent in the future and happily recommend the rental to others! show more show less

My husband and I have been drawn to the town of 'Sconset on the island of Nantucket for 20+ years, and for all of those years, we have stayed at one of the cottages known as Telegraph House or Right Bank. Over the years, Peter (the owner) has added many features and is always open to suggestions to ensure a memorable Nantucket experience. The cottages are well maintained, clean, comfortable and offer all necessary amenities (washer-dryer, air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, flat-screen television, and a private backyard patio) for a carefree stay. The location in 'Sconset Center is ideal and is within walking distance of several restaurants, the beach, general store and bus transportation. We look forward to our 'Sconset vacation year after year. It never disappoints!!!

My husband and I recently spent a week here. The great room is spacious and comfortable with a queen bed, dresser, armoire, and dining table. The galley kitchen was a nice plus with all the amenities (oven, microwave, plenty of cooking utensils). It is in a perfect location just steps away from the bus, the 'Sconset market, and three restaurants. With the windows open you can hear the nearby surf. No car is required because the Nantucket bus runs frequently. This is a great house if you're looking for a quiet, relaxing stay in the most beautiful part of the island. show more show less

My NEW fiancee and I had a truly magical week staying in 'Sconset at Telegraph House where we got engaged!!! Telegraph is immaculately kept, has everything you might need for a perfect beach week, and is decorated with carefully selected antiques and lovely decor. 'Sconset is by far the most charming part of the island and Telegraph's location is perfect, no more than a 3 minute walk to the adorable general store, local cafe, and the best beach in Nantucket - where he proposed after we watched the sun rise into a clear blue sky over the turquoise, sparkling water, the soft sandy beach and the duns lined with sea roses! Right after I said yes, a huge wave crashed into us and pushed me into him. We got soaked and he lost a shoe! It was more perfect than I could have imagined :)

Peter and Steph were the 3rd people we told because we established such a great connect with their help in planning our trip and their guidance during our stay. You will not find more kind, caring, responsive, sincere homeowners. It is clear that their ownership of their properties and care for their guests is done with love. By the end of our stay, we shared their love for Telegraph House and for Nantucket. We are looking forward to our next visit and will, no doubt, plan around staying at one of Peter and Steph's properties. It was a very special trip and they and their lovely cottage by the sea were a huge part of making it so. Just finished an unforgettable week in Nantucket at the Telegraph House. The cottage was perfect -- clean, cozy, and well designed with all the right amenities. The location was tops, too. We were able to make the most of 'Sconset and the rest of the island during our stay, including the bluff walk, several beaches, and bike paths. The evening strolls through the village, down to the beach were the best. And everything kept coming back to the Telegraph House! We didn't want to leave!!

Telegraph House is just adorable and couldn’t have been more perfect for us!! Immaculate, nicely decorated, fully equipped, comfortable, and cozy. Love it! We especially appreciated the convenience of the little ‘Sconset Market, Claudette’s Sandwich Shop, and the shuttle bus to town which stops 300 feet from the house. Wonderful!! We’re coming back!

My husband and I have stayed at both Right Bank and Telegraph House. Most recently, we stayed for Daffodil Weekend at Telegraph house! We were in for a surprise. Most of the “Action” takes place in Sconset - just steps away from the house! It was so convenient to be able to walk to and from the house (to grab belongings, chairs, food, use the restroom, etc) without missing too much activity.

The house was very well maintained and had ALL the amenities one would need. Peter is very helpful, informative and quick to respond. He welcomed us with a package of great information about the island, restaurants, and things to do. We have loved staying in Sconset - taking walks along the foot path, going to the beach (only a little walk away!) and riding our bikes to Sankaty Lighthouse - while still being a short distance from downtown. Sconset is so beautiful and a true treasure. I plan on returning to Nantucket for many years to come - and I will plan on returning to stay in either Telegraph House or Right Bank in Sconset :) show more show less
