    Spotless and perfectly located

This place is a jewel. Decorated beautifully and with great panache, this condo is the cleanest rental I've ever encountered. Owner is a delightful gentleman, who replaced our toaster immediately when we mentioned it wasn't working. The location is the best possible, as it's about two minutes or less to every downtown shop or restaurant. This place makes you feel like you are right in the middle of all the action, and it's heavenly to be able to walk everywhere. AC works fabulously. I would live in this condo in a heartbeat!! Thanks, Robert! show more show less

    Bright condo with incredible views

My husband and I stayed here for a week in September with another couple and we were all very happy with our choice. The condo is bright, spacious, very clean, well equipped and has incredible views of the Harbor and we loved the quick walk to Main St. Each couple enjoyed having our own space with the two king en-suite bedrooms (with luxurious linens and very comfortable beds) in addition to the spacious living areas. The owner lives on island and was very responsive to our questions through out our stay. We will definitely rent this condo again. show more show less

My family and I stayed in this clean, modern, well appointed apartment for 5 weeks. Town location was so convenient. Ever changing views of the harbor were seen from the windows. Kitchen is well equipped . Beds were comfortable. The owner was readily available and responsive to any needs. Easy living on Easy Street!

    Exceptional on Easy Street

What a fabulous stay in this condo downtown Nantucket at the harbor! The host was communicative, responsive and easy to deal with. We were comfortable from the moment arrived. The pictures accurately depict the property; the views of the harbor from living area are incredible. It is clean and includes everything you would want; high end linens and towels, well stocked kitchen, beach chairs, etc. King sized beds are extremely comfortable. There was a shared deck out back with grill for afternoon relaxation. While being a stone's throw from the Steamship Authority Ferry, it was still quiet. I would go back in a heartbeat! show more show less

Born and raised as a 3rd generation Nantucketer, I grew up and have lived and worked on Easy Street most of my life. I graduated from the family business, Young's Bicycle Shop and went into real estate sales full time in 1985.
28D Easy Street is one of my personal homes that I occupy in the offseason when it is not rented. You can find me at William Raveis Nantucket Real Estate on Main Street since my move from my former office on Easy Street in 2018.

What is special about this property?
My grandparents purchased this property in 1939 along with about 1/3 of the block. They needed the property for Young's Bicycle Shop, which they'd started in '31. There had been an old stable here and I used its' hayloft as a play house. It had a great smell of old wood and dried hay. In '62 Harvey A. Young took the building apart and reused the wood to build himself a Cape style home. Eventually, Harvey A. passed away and left it to my parents in 1980. When they were both gone, my brother, Harvey S. current owner of Young's Bicycle Shop inherited the house. Not wanting to be the 3rd generation to move into the now fabled ''Harvey A. Young Retirement Home'', brother Harvey sold it to me. So now it was my turn to put my mark on this property. In the fall of 2012 we razed the old Cape and I built what you see here today. It was completed in June of 2013 and has been occupied since. The first floor is comprised of 2 commercial spaces. Currently a high-end Jeweler and an office. In recent years there has been a surf shop and an art gallery.
The upper floors contain 2 fabulous 2 BR, 2 B apartments. 28 D Easy St is available for weekly rentals in the spring, summer, and fall seasons and I typically keep it for myself in the winter months. Recently the Nantucket Islands Land Bank purchased the 2 waterfront properties across the street to create a harbor front park. The total budget for the N.L.B. Easy St park is $12,000,000. 28 D Easy Street, Nantucket...nothing like it.

What is special about your town?
Nantucket...read Moby Dick and get an idea of what Melville thought. Or read Nathanial Philbrick's best selling book ''In the Heart of the Sea''. Nantucket is so full of Early American history it's hard to describe. Once the whaling capital of the world, Nantucket's whale and merchant ships set records for sailing around the globe making the island was one of the wealthiest towns in the country. Our spermaceti candles lit the homes of London and other major European cities. Now Nantucket is best known for its endless beaches, it's world-class fine dining and as a destination resort for captains of industry....just NOT whaling, but be sure to stop into the Nantucket Whaling Museum to learn more about this incredible island's place in Ameican history.
