West Tisbury Vacation Rental - ID 2501

We (my family of 4) had a lovely stay! The house was clean, well cared for, and spacious. My kids loved running laps around the house, taking outside showers, and eating outside on the deck every night. Although conveniently located near area amenities, the house is serene and secluded. We had plenty of space to hang out and play and enjoyed coming home to make dinner together after adventuring around the island (kitchen is well equipped). The week before our rental there was an issue with the freezer, but the owner took care of it immediately and there was a brand new fridge when we arrived. Communication with the owner was easy, she responds promptly, but is not at all intrusive. Owner left good recommendations for things to do and welcomed us with some yummy jam and special soap. We would love to return!

We had a great repeat week at Elizabeth's house. Everything we needed for a 4 person family. my older kids especially loved the loft. Very clean, ceiling fans worked great and the neighborhood is lovely and quiet. Very close to Long Point Beach, close driving distance between Tisbury (Alley's General) and Morning Glory Farm/Edgartown. A great week again!

We had a wonderful experience with this rental. House was spotless and everything was updated and modern. The owners were easy to communicate with and responsive (and left us a little welcome gift). Great outdoor area and very close to the beach. Overall, it was a terrific place and we would absolutely rent again. Thanks.

Home as listed, close to the Long Point Refuge, A little further to Lamberts Cove Another beautiful shoreline. Many restaurants and shopping galore!

Nice, well-maintained house on large, tree-shaded lot with plenty of privacy. Off the beaten track, but centrally located. Don't miss the nearby Long Point beach & refuge. Owners are responsive and friendly. We have returned more than once and enjoyed our vacation every time.

We are a family of four. Had a fantastic vacation at Elizabeth"s house. Quiet and serene. Close to all - between Allies Gen Store and Morning Glory Farm and close to Edgartown. We used the bikes from the house and biked most days. Long Point was very close and is beautiful. Best beach on MV. The house was set up perfect for us. We like to bring groceries and visit MG farm and cook. Everything we needed was in the kitchen. Used outdoor shower every day; very helpful with kids after beach day. We plan to come back next year!

This was our first time renting the house at this location, but our sixth on Martha's
Vineyard. Very clean and updated house in quiet, private setting. The location of the home is perfect for outdoorsy family like ours. We biked to close beach every day! The owners are very responsive, you will enjoy your stay there. We will definitely return next year

We found your home to be very comfortable and inviting. The decor and paintings really said Martha's Vineyard. We were pleased to find that the bike lanes were readily accessible to the neighborhood and used them often to ride into the different towns. We also took advantage of being so close to Long Point on the south shore for some beach time. Your back deck was very private and it was delightful to have breakfast outside where we could watch the birds on the feeder coming and going. The lounge chairs were great for relaxing. We loved the outside shower and the open floor plan of your home. We appreciated it that you checked in with us once we arrived to be sure that everything was perfect for our vacation. Thanks for your hospitality, we really enjoyed our stay, the home is in a perfect location and very well maintained. Your home is recommend to others.

Our family of five really had a great time staying at your house. When we arrived in Martha’s Vineyard we were welcomed into your lovely home. It was clean, it was exactly as described by you and your photos and everything was perfectly situated to make our stay super comfy. We knew that we would be enjoying ourselves immensely during the next few weeks as soon as we arrived. We are hopeful to return again and would recommend your home to others who may be considering a stay at your home. Thank you for your hospitality.

Lovely wooded location. Feels far from everything, without being far from anything. Proximity to Long Point reservation is a real plus--a great beach for kids, with both ocean and pond swimming. The house is pretty, comfortable, and well-maintained. The owners are conscientious and easy to deal with. What more do you want? (PS, we're road bikers, and very much appreciated that the road, unlike many on the Vineyard, is paved. Plus the route to many destinations goes through the bike paths in Corellus forest.)

We have been fortunate enough to vacation here for the last six years, and it's a wonderful home in a great wooded location close to Long Point. It's well appointed and comfortable and has a great deck and yard overlooking a serene horse farm. The owners Elizabeth and Phil are very accessible and easy to work with.

We had the pleasure of staying at Elizabeth and Phil's house for 3 weeks, and we had a wonderful time. The house is located in a secluded neighbourhood, very close to the bike route and the forest. You can hear the planes as the airport is nearby, but it's not a nuisance. No cars around. In the evening the fireflies illuminate the trees around the deck. In the evening, the birds offer their soundtrack for your early breakfast. Our two teens loved the loft. Cathedral ceilings, open space that allows the whole family to communicate even when everybody is in a different room, we really enjoyed the house. It is simple, tastefully furnished, and comfy. Isn’t that what we are all looking for?

This is really a 2 bedroom house not 3. The 2 bedrooms are nice and spacious. There needs to be upgraded glassware, pots and serving platters. The step down from the deck is dangerous, it s too far. There was virtually no paper goods, bathroom tissue,soap, etc.

This home was perfect for our family of 4! Loved the close proximity to Long Point Refuge, and kids enjoyed riding bikes to the beach. The house was well equipped with everything we needed and kids enjoyed playing ping pong and hanging out in the loft! The deck was wonderful for both early morning coffee and evening dinners. Met lots of wild turkey in the yard on on the road:) The location was perfect -- easy travel to all the towns. Elizabeth communicated with us regularly and checked in when we were there. A great stay for our first time on the Vineyard!!

We had a peaceful and active time staying in West Tisbury. We were in a quiet home and only a short drive to the beach and kayaking and all of the great places of MV. We look forward to coming back in the fall. Our daughter had a chance to go horseback riding, and we went to many great and affordable places to eat.

Again, our family truly enjoyed our vacation on the Vineyard and a comfortable stay in your home! Many thanks again.

My family and I had a great time on vacation. Your house was perfect for us. My son loved the loft room. The ping pong table was also a hit. It was one of the best weeks we have had on the Vineyard in years. Your house was a huge part of it. We hope to stay again next summer. Thank you.

We really enjoyed our week at your house.....lovely place, so comfortable, very accommodating. One suggestion, no ESPN on basic cable so we had to run to local pubs for Wimbledon coverage. You may want to upgrade cable for those sports fans on rainy days. Hope to return next year.

This was our second year renting this home and if I won Megabucks, I'd offer the owners $$$ to buy it from them! I have rented several homes on the Vineyard that were not as pictured in their ads - this one exceeded my expectations!

It is a great house in a terrific location in a quiet, wooded neighborhood. It is a very comfortable, well-appointed home and has always been clean and well maintained. It has amenities one needs on a beach vacation including an outdoor shower and a washer/dryer.

The owners are very kind and easy to work with which we appreciate! Thanks for being a part of our vacation and memories!

"What a wonderful stay we had! The house was clean and spacious, equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay (the laundry room and dishwasher were especially appreciated). The common living areas were perfect for gathering together to dine and play games but there were also lots of quiet nooks you could get away to. The yard was private and teaming with wildlife and the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. We were able to get fresh eggs from a nearby neighbor each morning for our breakfast. We enjoyed many morning walks and bike rides; South Beach was only a short walk away. It was perfect! I hope to go back year after year."

"This is a beautiful, relaxing home in a very convenient location - the entire island is at your fingertips. Whether you want a relaxing day reading on the back deck, a day soaking up the sun at one of the nearby beaches, shopping in town, or biking around the island (access to the bike path is right at the end of the street!), this place has it all. I'm always blown away by the serenity of this home too: the sound of the ocean in the distance, the birds chirping, and the sound of the wind through the leaves are the perfect antidote to my relatively hectic life. The home itself is gorgeous: an open floor plan with plenty of sunlight, ample accommodations for cooking and entertaining, and incredibly comfortable beds. I intend to continue coming back here, and would recommend it to anyone!"

"We loved the private, woodsy setting with the herb and flower gardens. The house is comfortable and cozy, nicely furnished and well equipped. We enjoyed the open beach at Long Point, Seth's pond and frisbee golf at the state park, all close by . It's a leisurely drive into Oak Bluff, Vineyard Haven and Edgartown. We're looking forward to returning for our 7th year this summer."

The location is perfect for us too because it is close to Edgartown and the ferry to Chappy. We like cruisin the back roads to the beach too. "Our stay here was wonderful. The house is beautiful, very nicely equiped. Loved the privacy and the serenity!! The neighborhood was perfect for our early morning bike rides and early evening walks. Our stay was with 4 adults and 2 teenagers and the house fit us perfectly! The open design of the house let us easily all gather around the table for a game of cards or each find our own quiet space for watching TV, reading or just sitting and watching the birds on the feeder. The beaches are awesome there too! Can't wait to go back."

"My husband and I honeymooned at this beautiful home in June 2005. The home is spacious yet very intimate. Loved the wooded lot and the beautiful gardens surrounding the property. We enjoyed the large well-equipped kitchen. I made my new husband his first boiled lobster dinner and he made me great grilled steaks and chops on the outdoor barbeque! Plenty to see and do on the island. I would highly recommend this property to anyone."
