A lovely 10 minute walk from the ferry in Vineyard Haven, the house is filled with books, art, and evening birdsong among the tall trees, in a leafy green neighborhood. Yet it's easy to return to a restaurant or shopping, strolling by the library and connect with the whole island. Private parking on the pebble driveway.

Just 3/10 mile (6 minutes walk) to our sweet Tisbury Town Beach, a great place to take coffee in the early morning and watch the sun come up over the water. And it's a beautiful hike to Tashmoo beach.

The back deck overlooks a grassy yard, hammock and picnic table under the cherry tree. One of the three bedrooms has a spacious office suite for writing or emails if you care to connect with the outside world. Or just nap, read or do nothing in the window seat, shaded in Porcelain Berry Vine outside the glass. A Vineyard retreat.

The Vineyard VTA bus stops at the corner, a few houses away and connects to every town, and up island.
