This antique home originally built in 1801 is situated in the heart of Vineyard Haven. It was recently restored to include modern amenities while maintaining its historic charm. This quiet residence is just a quick walk from town, restaurants, shopping and the Steamship Authority. The large front lawn with majestic trees leads to a farmer's porch with rocking chairs. The private drive situated behind the house includes a Vermont slate walkway leading to a slate patio which is perfect for outdoor gatherings. A post and beam studio with a loft used for additional sleeping space and/or fourth bedroom and a free standing outdoor shower are just steps from the outdoor walkway.

Inside the home, the original wide pine floors throughout the roomy first floor tie together the original section with the newer portion of the house. The addition of vaulted ceilings creates a spacious and roomy feeling between the two living rooms. The modern kitchen is complete with a soapstone island, double stove and Bosch cook top. A corner breakfast nook with views of the private garden add additional charm to the kitchen space. The kitchen flows into a full dining room which is adjacent to the half bath. The sunny master bedroom and closet with access to the large bath complete the first floor. Two additional bedrooms are located on the second floor.

    Beautiful Home and Outdoor Space

    This is a lovely historic home that's been renovated at a high level. Beautiful kitchen, large charming back patio for outdoor dining, and an expansive front and side yard.

    The location is perfect for walking into Vineyard Haven for shopping, dinner, or the beach at Owen Park. And the owners are very helpful and a real pleasure to coordinate with. Highly recommend this property!

    Very convenient, walk to everything. Peaceful quiet setting. While exuding sufficient old charm all modern amenities are included and updated. Perfectly appointed and immaculate. Anxious to return. One of the nicest rentals we have had.

    This house is amazing; bright, very clean and every amenity one could ask for. The owner was very pleasant and a wonderful host. We arrived for a long weekend; the close proximity to Vineyard Haven shops, restaurants, Sunday morning Church and beaches made our stay carefree; no car needed in this location. Highly recommend you check it out and make your family cherish a Vineyard stay!

    We have stayed at this property a few times. Always great and always gets better!!! Oozes with charm of the real Vineyard while completely accommodating contemporary needs.

    Cook's kitchen with ample supplies and conveniences. Excellent floor plan for company with two sets of French doors opening onto bluestone patio surrounded by a quaint stone wall. Lovely 1st floor master with walkthrough master closet and awesome walk-in shower and double vanity bathroom. Hardwood throughout and cathedral ceilings and beams gives the home a super roomy feel. Two spacious 2nd floor bedrooms. House has magnificent walk score to beaches, restaurants,

    Main St. Shopping, theatres and ferry. Backs up to historic William St. Decor and furnishings are Island themed, comfortable and user friendly. Ample yard and private parking.     We are an year round island family who live and work on Martha's Vineyard. We have four young children who keep us busy and on our toes. The island is a beautiful place to share with friends and family. We are excited to share our home so that others can experience all the island has to offer.
