We had a lovely vacation at this cottage that will take you back in time. It's quiet and secluded with a beautiful view of the water. If you're looking for some nostalgia, peace and quiet, this is the place for you.

Beautiful home with exceptional views of Lake Tashmoo. Well-appointed kitchen, comfortable beds, private beach, and a great fireplace. We've been coming for the past few years and absolutely love it. Canoe/kayak the lake, enjoy the hammock and the abundance of books, and prepare for some stunning sunrises and sunsets. I highly recommend this property!

Our family gathered this August for a lovely reunion of sorts. The setting is simply breathtaking with plenty of room for everyone to spread out and find their space to read, relax, swim, etc. The cottage was clean and well stocked. Loved the screened in porch. Sunsets from the side porch were so beautiful. Look no further if you are looking for a place to get away from it all. It was an lovely stay.

Our family has been returning to this wonderful cottage on and off since 2001. A large family dinning table is the first thing you encounter when you walk into the well-furnished kitchen. And directly outside on the deck is a beautiful view of easily-accessible Lake Tashmoo. Through its inlet to Vineyard Sound, you can set your clock as you watch the ferries pass by in the distance. Walking through the charming living room with fireplace you'll enter a large, long, comfortably furnished, screened-in porch where you'll enjoy coffee and WIFI communication in the early morning and cocktails in the evening. The bedrooms are comfortable and airy.

Stairs directly outside lead to a magnificent, private, sandy beach that stretches the length of the large wooded, secluded property. With an easily obtainable permit from the Town of Tisbury, the clams in those waters are there for the digging and taking.

Your children will love the warm shallow waters for swimming from early June to late September. Every year improvements and updates are made, but the original charm of this cottage on Tashmoo continues. It is easily understood why people return here year after year. show more show less

I grew up summering on Lake Tashmoo...before there were electric lights and running water in most camps on the lake. This place has the ambiance of the 1940's and 50's with all the modern conveniences of the present day. Plenty of room for family and friends here.

My family has been returning to this wonderful cottage on the shores of Lake Tashmoo every summer for nearly a decade. My kids would not dream of going anywhere else-nor would we!
The setting is ideal–nestled in the woods right on the water, close enough to Vineyard Haven for a quick run into town but feels completely secluded. Big screen porch for lazy lunches and dinners, swimming right off the back lawn or a lovely hike through the woods to the beach at the mouth of Lake Tashmoo.
