1900's Victorian, renovated and newly furnished. House is located on New York Ave, which is the main road between Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven. The bus goes past the house every twenty minutes during the summer and can be flagged. House is approximately 1,600 square feet. House purchased in 2018 and all furnishings and furniture were purchased then. Kitchen and downstairs bathroom are newly renovated!

First floor includes living room with 50'' HDTV, and two large coaches. It is connected to den with sleeper sofa, coffee table, table to play games/puzzles and sitting chair to enjoy a book. Kitchen is eat-in and includes various appliances, including blender, toaster, coffee maker, microwave.

Off the kitchen is a bathroom with shower, toilet and sink.

Three upstairs bedrooms: 1) master bedroom with small futon, pack and play, queen size bed, dresser and side table and closet 2) queen size bed with side table, dresser and closet and 3) full size bed with twin bunks with small half dresser and closet.

Large bathroom with laundry, shower and bath on second floor, which connects to master and has access to the other bedrooms.

Large outdoor front porch w/ dining table/fans, rocking chairs and lounge area; picnic table on grass; grill in rear. Window unit AC's in three bedrooms upstairs, den and Kitchen . Mini-split keeps family room cool. Linens and towels (8 bath and 8 beach) provided.

Outdoor shower newly installed in 2019.

Walking distance to jetty beach (1/2 mile). Six bikes and eight beach chairs and canopy and beach toys. read more show less

    Everything We'd Hoped For and More!

    We had the perfect vacation at this quintessential Martha's Vineyard home last week. The property was updated, clean, comfortable, well decorated and inviting. We loved everything about it from the updated kitchen, to the comfortable master bed, to the surplus of closet space (rare for a rental!) down to the Vineyard Vines plates and table runner.

    We walked to the Black Dog Dockside bakery every morning with our children in their stroller and then again in the evening for ice cream at Mad Martha's. We enjoyed long days at State Beach (perfect for small children and a six minute drive, if that) and warm nights spent on the porch sipping wine and playing cards.

    We can't say enough good things about this fabulous experience and our interaction with Emily. We can't wait to come back next year!     show more show less

    HI! I'm Emily and the owner of the house. I have an amazing husband Chris and three great kiddos, Conor, Sara and Lily. We take great pride in the house-it has been our bucket list to own on the Vineyard for over a decade and hope you will come and enjoy it! We appreciate any and all feedback. If anything goes wrong during your stay, we have a handyman who is available to address your concerns promptly.

    What is special about this property?
    We love the porch on the front of the house, the great sitting rooms: we play many games of Jenga with our kiddos and are constantly working on puzzles. It's a 10 minute walk to Nancy's so we visit the flying horses every night after dinner, with an ice cream at one of our favorite spots (Mad Martha's, Bill and Bob's, Carousel, to name a few). We also love to wander down to the Jetty beach, which is about .5 miles from the house and then walk into town for beers at the Lookout or Offshore. We are also less than a 10 minute walk to the Oak Bluffs library on a rainy day. The kids look forward to coming to the house all year.

    What is special about your town?
    Each of the towns at MV are special and all have very distinct personalities. Our favorite is Oak Bluffs, with the gingerbread houses, flying horses, amazing restaurants, green spaces at Ocean Ave, and the list goes on.
