My daughter and I spent three fabulous days on the island and had a wonderful time! The accommodations were second to none, and with the use of bikes and paddle boards, we couldn't have asked for anything more. The few questions i had during my stay, both Carolyn and Pete were very responsive to them. We will definitely come back next year and bring the rest of the family!

My wife and I stayed at this rental property from 8/25-/8/29. The owners, Pete and Carolyn, were kind enough to meet us at the ferry in Vineyard Haven and transport us to their home. Pete showed us the property and answered any questions we had. The home has all you would need to enjoy your vacation.

The theme inside is nautical throughout. It is decorated beautifully and can accommodate a large group if necessary. The outside is surrounded by the natural landscape and is quite private. It has a large deck that we sat out at daily enjoying cocktails. Beach chairs and paddleboards are located in the basement if you plan on visiting the many beautiful beaches on the island. We did visit Long Bay Beach, State Beach and Lighthouse Beach. Bikes are also provided, which we used on 2 occasions to take long rides and to explore the island. Bus route is only a 1/2 mile to the main street and takes you directly into Edgartown. We enjoyed Sharkies restaurant and Port Hunter locally. We also went into Oak Bluffs on 2 occasions and enjoyed walking around and stopping at Lobsterville pub for a drink and a nice view of the harbor.

Weather was terrific also. Hope to return again and stay at Pete and Carolyn's wonderful home. show more show less

We live in New Hampshire. (family of 5 - two adults and three children, 21, 18, and 17) We generally vacation for a week in York, Maine, but this year we opted for MV. At first we thought the ride from NH would be too long. Well, we were wrong. This was a quick 2 1/2 hour ride by car and then a fun 45 minute adventure on the ferry. No lines, no waiting. Upon arrival at the house, my daughter commented that the house looked liked it had been decorated by Pottery Barn. All amenities included and our favorite was the back deck; coffee in the morning and gas fire pit at night. Very private and peaceful and easy ride to beach/into town. Great bus service only 1/2 mile from the house. Close to Stop-N-Shop, restaurants and shops. So long, York, ME.....MV is our new home away from home! show more show less

If you like privacy, but like to be close to all the action, this is the place. The bars, restaurants and beaches are easily reached. It is perfect for just hanging out or entertaining. The house is fully equipped and comfortable. It can easily accommodate large groups. The house has all the amenities you will need. The furniture is new and comfortable. I would recommend this property to anyone and will hopefully return in September 2014.

Great house and great location. Centrally located with just a short drive from the ferry landing. Comfortably slept six with room to spare. Large kitchen with lots of room to entertain. Very nicely decorated. Quiet and private but close to beaches...shopping...restaurants...sights.. Planning to visit again this summer and stay at the same house. Can't ' wait.
