This single-level, two-bedroom, two-bath cottage is located down a two-mile dirt road in Quansoo's private residence area and rests on a nine-plus acre lot within an even more private, quiet community trust. Located well off the beaten track, this area of Quansoo typifies the ''old'' Vineyard of multi-acreage properties with their rural seclusion. Over the years the cottage has been favored by families with one or two young children (lots of discoveries along the pond and beaches), nature and bird lovers, couples and singles wanting to ''get away from it all,'' and those who love kayaking, fishing, and crabbing.

The property has easy access to the beach on the western shore of Tisbury Great Pond as well as the Sheriff's Meadow Quansoo Farm walking trails. A Quansoo Beach gate key, 4 kayaks and a paddleboard are included with your rental. Quansoo Beach is a private key/gated Atlantic beach less than 1/2 mile by water, 7/10 mile if walking, jogging, biking, or driving down the small private road. Presenting your lease at the Chilmark Town Hall will allow you a sticker for access/parking at Lucy Vincent, the town beach. The kayaks and paddle board are kept on ''Big Sandy,'' the Trust's private beach 300 yards from the house, a 4-5 minute stroll along the cedar and oak-lined wide footpath and across the open waterside field.

All pillows, bed linens, and comforters are supplied as well as personal towels and beach towels. Air conditioning is supplied by a single split-system unit in the great room that comfortably cools the house. The house has Comcast/Xfinity cable, high-speed wifi and TV.

The L-shaped deck by the main entry is furnished with a four-piece wicker seating set; there are additional chairs. The picnic table and gas grill are nearby in the yard. Folding beach chairs are included. The kitchen has all standard appliances as well as Cuisinarts (large and mini), chef's knives, and more.

The master bedroom wing and the bunk bedroom are on opposite ends of the house, entirely separated by the cathedral-ceilinged great room and kitchen. Both bedrooms have raised ceilings, the king master bedroom has skylights, a ceiling fan, a smart TV and a private en-suite bath with walk-in shower.

There is a full bath with tub/shower combo off the hallway leading to the bunk bedroom. The bunk bedroom has a twin-over-full/double bunk bed with the following maximum weight limits on the bunk beds: 200 lb limit on the lower double/full bed, 150 lb limit on the top twin bed.

The stack washer and dryer are in a separate closet and the bunk bedroom has an exterior private entrance to the parking area, backyard, and outdoor shower.

The enclosed outside shower is on the rear of the house. There's a side yard clothesline for bathing suits, beach towels, and life preservers (included). read more show less
