This recently renovated and expanded house is located on nearly seven private acres and fronts directly on Tisbury Great Pond, a very large saltwater pond in the rural Quansoo area of Chilmark. Located well off the beaten track, this area of Chilmark typifies the traditional Vineyard of rural privacy coupled w/ accessibility to the more populated towns and offers views of fields, ponds, ocean vistas, and beaches.
This three-bedroom, two-bath house, plus an enclosed outdoor shower, includes seven waterfront acres with 600' frontage and broad views of the 1 mile X 1+ 1/2 mile saltwater Great Pond.
Whether enjoying the furnished deck, the deep 1+ 1/2 acre yard with its 600' shoreline, or afloat you'll see Quansoo's beach dunes bordering the Great Pond's southern shore as well as the Atlantic Ocean beyond.
It's 4/10 of a mile via the included four kayaks and paddleboard to the 1 and 2/10 miles of private oceanfront Quansoo Beach, a 7/10 mile drive or walk via the private one lane road.
Native oaks and mature pines shield the house and border the enormous yard, assuring total privacy. All wiring is underground for uninterrupted views.
The house offers three bedrooms with cathedral ceilings, ceiling fans, and individually controlled A/C units. Two of the three bedrooms, the king MBR and the queen BR, overlook the waterfront yard with Tisbury Great Pond views.
The master bedroom's en-suite south wing and the north wing's two bedrooms w/their full tub/shower bath are entirely separated by the expansive and cathedral-ceilinged living room, dining area, and kitchen.
The waterview master bedroom has a king bed and an en-suite full bath with a walk-in shower.
The north wing has two BRs, a waterview queen bedroom and a two-twin bedroom. Both bedrooms have additional private entrances from the side yard and offer complete privacy as they are on opposite sides off the hallway and share no abutting walls.
All bed linens, pillows, and comforters are supplied, as well as personal towels and beach towels.
The light-filled kitchen, dining area, and living room are open to one another, and an 8' x 5' kitchen island divides the kitchen from the spacious and inviting waterview living room. The dining area welcomes 10 diners w/French doors to the furnished waterview deck's lounges, chairs, and a shade umbrella. Both the dining area and the living room, with its local fieldstone fireplace, offer extensive views of the Great Pond.
The air conditioning settings for the central living areas and for each of the three bedrooms are separately zoned and individually controlled.
The great room offers a truly welcoming and comfortable space for your time together while creating treasured memories in this truly special home and location.
The fully equipped kitchen includes all standard preparation appliances as well as Cuisinarts (large and mini), chef's knives, a lobster pot, and a pantry closet with an assortment of platters and serving dishes.
The 1.5 acre child-friendly yard leading to the pond is grassy and level, and bocce, blongo, and other yard games are available for your fun-filled activities. A large hammock provides leafy shade and restful and dreamlike Pond views.
Your rental includes four kayaks , a paddleboard, and a Quansoo Beach gate key. The kayaks and paddle board are pulled up at the foot of the yard or on abutting ''Big Sandy''. All paddles and a range of adult & children's life preservers are provided as well as numerous beach chairs and a beach umbrella for your beach excursions.

Tisbury Great Pond is 1.5 miles long and up to 1 mile wide, the property looks over the widest part of the Pond. The Pond is ringed by horse and produce farms, rural homesites, rustic off-the grid camps, and nature preserves. The Pond is intersected by several long peninsulas creating secluded inlets to explore from the water while kayaking or paddleboarding.
Be sure to bring your fishing gear as saltwater Tisbury Great Pond has terrific perch and bass fishing and Quansoo Beach is one of the most coveted fishing spots on an island, renowned for its bountiful fishing. If the crabs are running while you are here you can grab the crab nets from the shed and catch them aplenty in the creek connecting Black Point Pond and the Great Pond.
Quansoo Beach is a gated ocean beach with a limited number of gate keys, offering you your own domain within a hundred yards of the parking lot's footbridge and its wide pathway entry.
