Family Friendly Cape Cod Cottage with Bass River Access

We were looking for a home last minute in South Yarmouth where family were vacationing and were so fortunate to find Smithport available in our desired neighborhood. The home was clean and comfortable with all of the necessary amenities. The homeowners were kind and extremely responsive.

We wanted a home large enough to accommodate our extended family for meals together and the dining table was perfect. There was also a table outside and a sunroom off of the kitchen and living room that offered a nice place to relax while still being close to the action both inside and outside.

The house was close to grocery stores, ice cream, mini golf and other conveniences. We are most familiar with Dennis and love the bayside beaches for the kids. The drive to Dennis from Smithport in South Yarmouth is very manageable. We really liked the location on a quiet street but still close to the places we needed and wanted to visit. show more show less

Our family ( and extended family with cousin and grandparents) were incredibly lucky to find Smithport for our summer vacation. The home was in the perfect location to enjoy all the big draws of Dennis and Yarmouth, but far enough to be quiet and peaceful with a neighborhood feel.

The house was laid out very nicely for people to have their own space, but come together in the common areas. It was fully stocked and we were able to grill and cook great meals while enjoying the sun porch after long days at the beach.

Allison, our host, was very responsive and answered all questions and concerns quickly. Our family is not new to the Cape, but this was our first time enjoying this section. We are now hooked and cannot wait to return! show more show less

To say that we enjoyed our stay at this home would be an understatement. As a family with 5 teenagers, this home was just the right size for us. Big enough for us to congregate for dinner whether it be in the sunroom or the dining room. Right down to all of us being able to sit in either living room to watch a movie all together. The house was meticulously clean! The location was a VERY short walk down to the river with amazing views. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the amenities imaginable. My favorite part was probably the charm of this quintessential Cape Cod vacation house! We will definitely be back next year! show more show less
