Welcome to our newly constructed 3+ bedroom Lt Island home. The house has 3 bedrooms plus a bonus room in the basement, 2 1/2 baths, water views from the 2nd floor deck, and a small roof deck with views all around the island. There is just one home between ours and the path down a dune to one of the several beaches on the island.

The house, built in 2023, has central A/C and wireless internet, as well as a fully stocked kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and an induction stove.

The living/dining area is on the second floor, bedrooms on the first floor.

You enter the house through a mudroom, which has stairs leading up to the bedroom floor and down to the basement level. On the first floor there are 3 bedrooms, each with a queen bed. One is a master bedroom with an ensuite full bathroom with shower. There is a second full bath with tub off the hallway. An outdoor shower is accessed from that bathroom.

The stairs to the basement lead to a small laundry area with washer and dryer and a finished room with 2 twin beds, as well as a half bath (toilet and utility sink). The basement room is a walk-out with sliding glass doors, so lots of light.

On the top floor is an open plan kitchen/living/dining space with TV. Walls of windows and a cathedral ceiling let in lots of light as well as water views. The deck is accessed via sliders, and from there are stairs to the roof deck with views all around the island.

Lt. Island is a ''tidal island,'' meaning that the road to the area across the marsh is under water at high tide, which occurs once every 12 hours. This means excursions off island require attention to the tide chart, because for about an hour before and after high tide the water will be too deep to drive through.

The tidal aspect of Lt Island is part of the charm of staying there. At high tide people gather at the wooden bridge to jump into the water. Kayakers paddle the calm water. There are numerous shore birds to be viewed. It is truly a get away in nature.

When staying on the island you can use any of the beaches. Where the house is located you can walk down the dune and be on the beach in 2 minutes, or venture further to explore other areas.

If you are interested in ocean side beaches, Marconi Beach is a less than 10 minute drive, and Wellfleet town beaches are about 15 minutes away. Downtown Wellfleet is a 15-20 minute drive. The Cape Cod Rail Trail bike path can be accessed easily- it is a 2.2 mile bike ride from the house to route 6, where you can cross to enter the bike path from the Bob's Sub and Cone parking lot. read more show less
