Centrally located with the nearest ocean and bay beaches just 2 miles away, 3 miles to town center, and the bike trail just 1 minute away. There are beautiful conservation trails just moments away from the property. Enjoy the spacious yard with beautiful shady oaks to sit under along with many sitting nooks the property has to offer. Grill fresh local seafood on the deck or enjoy one of Wellfleet’s many authentic restaurants.

About the house:
Inside the main house you will find a bright, fully-equipped kitchen and dining space. Also located in the main house is a living room with a 55'' television, 4 bedrooms and bathroom with shower/bathtub. The in-law apartment is attached to the main house via the breezeway (located at the side entrance). Here you will find a spacious studio apartment equipped with a queen bed, small living room space, closet, kitchenette, and en-suite full bathroom. Outside is a large front and backyard, deck, and a detached, newly renovated office space. There is ample parking spaces on the property.

Please note:

There is no washer/dryer on the property. The nearest laundromat is located 2 towns over in Orleans, MA. There is a clothes line in the backyard for drying towels and other clothing items.

There are long-term, quiet tenants that live on the far end of the property in their own designated living space. This area is separated from the main house/yard by the fence in the backyard next to the garage. The driveway is shared.

**The property is located in a quiet neighborhood. No parties whatsoever. Failure to adhere to this rule will result in annulment of the rental agreement and immediate termination from the property. read more show less

    Great place for our family to enjoy a week in Wellfleet. The house was as described, had all the amenities we needed and provided relaxing spaces both inside and out. Brandon and Annalise were very responsive and communicative. Located right off Route 6 and easy to get to the harbor as well as the ocean beaches!

    The property was warm and inviting. We loved the decor, property, and all of the amenities. We had seven people and at no time did we feel crowded. The grill and deck were the focal point of our evenings. The host was super responsive and even left us delicious cucumbers from there garden. This is a GREAT rental!! If you're able to book it, you will NOT be sorry!!!

    We really enjoyed our stay in Wellfleet. It was very easy to find and check in. Although it was along a main road, the yard and house were very peaceful and quiet. Centrally located and the guide book was very helpful. Would stay again!

    This home is a treasure. My kids said it best- it's like living in a homey antique store. It's bright, clean and comfortable and an amazing location in Wellfleet. It's set well off route 6 and the outdoor spaces are so fun. The outside she-shed office is just amazing. Cell service and WiFi were great for working while kiddos slept late. The house is well described: so note that there is no laundry, no dishwasher, one bedroom has no A/C if door is closed but there is a great fan. Things not mentioned in the listing are all the wonderful outdoor spaces, hammocks, plants, flowers, house plants, great TV in living room, bakeware for cooking, awesome knives, blender, air frier, oven was great, master bedroom bed and pillows were so luxurious and the whole house just had a fun vibe. There is NO cape musty smell AT ALL. We've rented a lot on the cape for past twenty years and loved it here show more show less

    Great cottage on the cape! Close to many beaches and nature walks. It's right off the main road, but ample trees provide privacy and shade. We traveled with our 5 kids that range in age from 3 to 11 and there was plenty of room for all of us. There was a large yard for the kids to play in when the youngest needed a nap which was a huge benefit; you would need to go through a brushy forest area and down a hill to get to he road from the yard so we felt very safe letting the kids play outside. Host was fast and attentive when we had questions. Well equipped kitchen. We cooked most of our meals at the house with no problem. Wonderful property, we would definitely use this location again if going to Cape Cod! show more show less

    We are a local family with ties to Wellfleet that span generations (as far back as the pilgrims on the Mayflower). Many of our family members are local fishermen that help to promote and sustain our town's culture as a flourishing fishing village.     Below you can read a snippet of the history of the house and surrounding cabins to get an idea of the unique charm of this property.

    What is special about this property?
    A little history of our property, which has been in our family for quite some time:

    First known as Brownie's Camps, the collection of eleven miniature houses has stood proudly since the early 1900s. Matt and Mary Brown (Wellfleet natives) purchased the cabins and restaurant parcel from the Baker family in 1927, shortly after Matt Brown became the first fire tower attendant.

    The restaurant, located in the large front house in Brownie's Cabins, was run by Mary Brown (my great great aunt) until 1956 when it was divided into two units (the property you are currently on and the neighboring Brownie's Cabins. Many a soldier stationed at Brownie's Camps (currently Brownie's Cabins) during World War II enjoyed huge fried clam plates and turkey dinners home cooked by ''Aunt Mary''. Emma Holway (Mary's niece and my Grandmother) tells of using the hand pump in the restaurant kitchen where she worked during summers as a teenager. Cabin #7 belonged to the fire tower in the early days, and was later moved to its present site. Every cabin has housed distinguished guests, from New York opera stars to Canadian diplomats, and now you :)
