Maura grew up nearby and spent many childhood summers on the Cape before buying and renovating her house in 2006. This year, she added an induction stove, new art, and small upgrades throughout the house. Her home is clean and cheerful, furnished with an eclectic mix of textiles and art that she's excited to share with visitors. Maura's garden has been evolving now for almost twenty years and is always a work in progress. For work, Maura is an art educator, illustrator, and story artist.

What is special about this property?
The house is charming, very comfortable, and private, with lovely gardens and a nice backyard. Decorations are chic and modern - no seashell or lighthouse prints here (though there may be a seagull decoy). All mattresses and seating options are super fresh and comfortable. I decorated my home for myself as well as my guests, so you'll find moments of sophistication combined with vacation-appropriate whimsy. I hope you'll enjoy my collection of art, books, and textiles, as well as a fully-equipped kitchen (and brand-new induction top stove!).

Well-behaved dogs are welcome, and the backyard and nearby N.S. hiking trails (to Duck Pond) are ideal for a morning walk off-leash. A map of the trails will be made available to guests.

The National Seashore includes 40+ miles of woods, marshes, ocean beaches, clear ponds and bay beaches to explore.

Lighthouses, cultural landscapes, and wild cranberry bogs offer a glimpse of Cape Cod's past and continuing ways of life. We also have the best French bakery this side of Paris and the famous Cape Cod light that inspires artists from all over the world.
