I had a wonderful stay at Zen Den. The house could not be better located. It was spacious and well stocked for our convenience. The hosts were super responsive, entirely helpful, and provided the most thoughtful and comprehensive information about the surrounding area. I would highly recommend it- though I stayed there solo, I would especially recommend it as a great place for a family.

This lovely home hits just the right note: it offers every comfort you could want or need while also being beachy, casual, and welcoming. Rooms are large, airy, and comfortable; the layout is spacious; everything is beautifully kept and cared for. The owners make sure you are fully acclimated to the home, to the neighborhood, and to the Cape in general, offering lots of detailed information of all kinds. I especially appreciated directions to "our beach," which is a small nearby cove that takes 5 minutes to walk to on a pretty wooded path -- it's a pristine place to walk, swim, breathe, and watch the tides change. Downtown Wellfleet is less than 10 minutes to drive; the location offers easy access to national beaches, restaurants, shops. It's just -- easy and peaceful, which is what one hopes for. We couldn't have been happier renting Zen Den from Bette and Nate. We enjoyed their clean, comfortable, and spacious house on Indian Neck. The house has every amenity for a perfect Cape vacation with a family. The walls are even decorated with paintings by Wellfleet artists!

We also love their commitment to environmental sustainability.

Amazingly zen Cape house
5 stars for this beautiful spacious Cape house. I am not sure whether it is the lack of city noise or just the old-fashioned Cape house feng shui, but the moment you walk in, you just feel relaxed. It is spacious enough for 2 families, just right for a small group, but has an atmosphere of coziness in the kitchen and living rooms that make the house a great place for spending long summer days. The house is 5 minutes walk to the bayside beach by a small path through wooded area. The area also has the best nighttime view of the stars I have ever seen since there is barely any man-made light in the evening. I highly recommend staying here for a week - it was so fun, relaxing, and rejuvenating!

Indian Neck Wellfleet
We have rented this home from the prior owners for a week in August each of the past seven summers. It is a great rental and we were glad to learn that the new owners of the home will continue to rent it out. The property is in an excellent location, and the home is modern and in very good condition. It is open, airy, and bright, with room for up to 10 people not only to sleep but also to relax and to eat. There are two adjoining sitting areas, so everyone can be together while some watch TV and others talk, read, etc. There also is a good-size kitchen table and a dining room table (as well as an outdoor table). All of the cousins enjoy sleeping in the room with the bunk beds and twin beds. The bedroom and full bath on the lower level (in addition to the bedrooms and two full baths upstairs) also make it easy for the grandparents to stay with us. We usually have 10 people in the house (6 adults and 4 kids) for half of the week and are very comfortable. The location is convenient to Wellfleet Center, the ponds, the ocean beaches, and the bay beaches. It is especially close to Indian Neck beach. Also, the harbor beach within walking distance is great to visit anytime and especially after dinner to watch the sun setting over Great Island and the water.

We spent 10 magnificent days on Tecumseh at the Zen Den with our family and my wife sister's family (4 adults and 5 kids total). We have been coming to the Cape for over 10 years but this has to be one of the best stays so far. The house is in a great location in Indian Neck with a pleasant short walk to two lovely Bay beaches. The house itself has a great layout with three different eating areas (kitchen, living/dining, and an awesome outdoor table) and plenty of different "zones" for both kids and adults to relax and socialize. We were particularly impressed with how well stocked the house was in terms of cooking utensils and a shed full of boogie boards, beach umbrellas, beach chairs, etc. My wife loved the outdoor shower and the kids really enjoyed hanging on the two large decks. Great family rental
We rented this house for 2 weeks last July, and had our children and grandchildren visiting at different times during the two weeks, and the house was very comfortable even with a crowd for dinner. The owners have done a great job of including everything you may need for your vacation: nice big gas grill, lots of kitchen utensils and grill gadgets, a lifetime supply of toilet paper and paper towels, even extra boogie boards and beach toys in the shed -- lots of little things, but it all added up to a carefree rental. Great location with a short walk to Indian Neck beach or the "secret beach", peaceful evening walks to the point to watch the sunset, and a pretty quiet dead-end street. We have been coming to Wellfleet for almost 30 summers, and this is possibly the best house we have ever rented. Looking forward to to next year!

Awesome
Really enjoyed our stay on Tecumseh with my wife and 2 kids (19 + 15). First time renters in Cape Cod and was a bit nervous not knowing exactly where the house was in relation to the beaches and best restaurants etc. Couldn't have been better in terms of location. Spent time every day walking to bay beach, 6 minutes? via the charming paths. Kids enjoyed crabbing, sun bathing and walking, especially at sunset where my daughter worked on her photography. Layout of the house was perfect, with great separation so everyone had their privacy when wanted. Updated interior, very bright and spacious. House was fully stocked except for sheets, pillowcases which we knew in advance. Discovered some great restaurants including Macs, Winslow Tavern and especially Flying Fish. PB Boulangerie was great for croissants and cappucino every morning. Whale Watching was off the charts exciting, something I will never forget and the trip was organized and well run. Only thing I would suggest is to not do a private fishing charter like we did (Reel Deal Fishing), fishing was extremely slow and felt a bit cheated when the capt raced back to the dock before our time was even up, better off just surf casting near the house. All in all, the house, location, vibe, and the owner Bette, created a memorable time. We will most likely try for the same week next year.

Wonderful in Wellfleet
Spent a week with our family of 5 (3 young adult kids) + friends at the Zen Den. House was SPOTLESS upon our arrival-love that. Plenty of space for all-the kids slept upstairs, parents downstairs and two different seating areas plus breezy front deck for reading. Kitchen was well equipped, also made use of brand new gas grill. Short walk to bay beach-Indian Neck-which is wonderful for young children, shell collectors and early morning walkers. Did some paddle boarding in the calm bay waters. Our older kids preferred the ocean beaches (White Crest mostly) & the fresh water kettle ponds. The backyard shed had beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards at our disposal. Best was the roomy outdoor shower that awaited us upon our return! We visit the Cape annually-preferably Wellfleet as there is so much to do-so we always return to our favorite spots; Arnold's in Eastham (good mini golf too), The Bookstore, The Pearl (great place to watch the sunset while dining), Moby Dick's (our favorite) and PB Boulangerie, Mac's all in Wellfleet. Love visiting the galleries (Bonefish, Left Bank) quaint shops and getting ice cream at both Emack & Bolios and Ben & Jerry's. We also visit Ptown for a day of shopping and the kids love the Wellfleet drive in flea market & movies. This year we ventured to a remote beach to watch the sunset from the cliffs. Just breathtaking! Wellfleet is our favorite vacation spot and the Zen Den was our perfect home away from home that week.

And our favorite restaurant of all time is Moby Dick (the food, staff owners are so great). We were there on the last day of the season before they closed and felt the signs of withdrawal coming on!
