Description

Description

Our charming cottage is just a short walk to a semi-private beach on Wellfleet Bay. It is one of eight similar free-standing cottages in the Hiawatha Condominium community. Our cottage (Cottage #4) is on the edge of the common property and, as a result, it is surprisingly private and very quiet. We have private parking for two cars directly next to our cottage, and expansive views of the marsh and bay from the living room, kitchen, and patio. We hope you will enjoy swimming, kayaking, and walking for miles on our sandy bayside beach, which is only a two-minute walk from our cottage.

We leave two sit-on kayaks and lifevests, that you may use while staying at our cottage. We also provide several beach chairs, a beach umbrella, and some beach toys. We have an outdoor shower, a Weber propane grill, a patio table with four chairs, two large patio umbrellas, two Adirondack chairs, and two zero-gravity chairs. What our cottage lacks in size, it makes up for with charm and personal touches. Of course, the views and the proximity to an amazing beach make it a perfect vacation home for five or fewer guests. We have recently updated most of the furniture, and while we do not provide linens, we do provide a variety of necessities like paper goods, hand and body soap, and cleaning supplies. The Furies is a local business that rents sheets and towels; they offer pick-up and delivery. We do not have a washer or a dryer. Laundromats are located in Provincetown and Orleans, each is about a 20-minute drive from our cottage.

In June and July, we rent from Saturday to Saturday, and in August and September, from Sunday to Sunday. You will need to do some tidying before you leave, but our cleaning service will take the time and care to deep clean the cottage before and after your stay.

We actually stay at our cottage throughout the summer season. We hope you love it as much as we do!

    Lovely Cottage

My husband and I stayed for a wonderful week in September. The forecast for our dates looked worrisome with Hurricane Lee in the Atlantic. But fortunately the storm moved east and we were treated to beautiful sunsets and lovely weather. The owner was kind and considerate with our concerns and went out of her way to accommodate us.
    Thank you, Mary Pat!
Indian Neck is one of the most beautiful areas on the Cape. We plan to return next year.

A Beautiful View in a Lovely Area

This is our third year renting this lovely place. It's a comfortable two bedroom with a kitchen that's well stocked with equipment, an oudoor gas grill, good air conditioning, an indoor and outdoor shower, and a cozy living room. But what makes it amazing is the view from many windows and from the deck: Hiawatha Bay. It's mesmerizing to sit at the round table on the deck under the umbrella and look at the water change throughout the day. Flocks of sea birds come and go. At low tide you can watch the shellfish harvesters come and go, and take a beautiful two mile walk around the Indian Neck shore. At high tide you can walk in flip flops down to the beach and take a swim in the clean bay water. We love this place and will come back next year. And the owner is very responsive if any questions come up. show more show less

The cottage is perfect. We knew it would be wonderful, but we did not expect it would be simply flawless. It is so good to get back to the area! The weather brought us a few surprises, but we survived them with pleasure, in the safety and deep comfort of your cottage. And, I cannot thank you enough for leaving such a big stock of suppliers for us. We are looking forward to returning next summer!

Perfect Wellfleet cottage on the bay

This cabin has been our home away from home for many years. We keep coming back because the spot is one-in-million. Steps from the bay beach, with a beautiful view of daily sunsets, the water and nearby tidal marsh.

There's always a breeze blowing making the deck a perfect place to sit and read a book watch the sailboats, or take a nap.

The cabin—which has always been meticulously well-maintained—has everything you'll need. Including strong wifi, barbecue grill and a recently renovated bathroom.

I have owned this cottage since 1998 and I have vacationed in Wellfleet since I was eight years old. Even after all of these years, I am still awed by the beauty and calming effect of the wild birds, the marsh, the changing tides, and the way the light performs magic on the water and grasses. I always delight in sharing this sandy piece of paradise with returning and new guests.

What is special about this property?
Our cottage is on the small side, but its high ceilings and expansive views of the bay and marsh make it feel much larger than it is! I hope you will enjoy sitting on our patio, watching the birds, passersby, and the changing tides as much as we do. We provide access to two sit-on kayaks, beach chairs, and some beach toys for your enjoyment. We vacation at our cottage throughout the summer and love it!

What is special about your town?
Wellfleet is a delightful town that appeals to anyone looking for an escape. Most of the Outer Cape is part of the National Seashore. The ponds and ocean and bay beaches are pristine. You will also find a variety of hikes along marshes and through forests, not far from our cottage. There are many beautiful areas to walk or ride your bike in town, along the Cape Cod bike trail, or through quaint neighborhoods. Wellfleet's restaurants, one-of-a-kind shops, and art galleries are among the best on the Cape, or anywhere, for that matter!
