Ground level haven with spectacular waterfront views

My wife and I were looking for a quiet place to relax for a week and yet easily accessible to other places to visit in Wellfleet and elsewhere on the Cape. This home was a perfect fit for us. It is very comfortable, very clean and well appointed inside. The views are spectacular and its location offers much privacy. We enjoyed sitting out on the patios eating breakfast and then reading, while sipping coffee. We could look up and often watch a family of herons or ospreys fishing. The Great Island Area of Cape Cod National Seashore is also seen from the home and is an easy walk to it.

The owner, Don, warmly welcomed us and was very accommodating. He designed the home and is quite proud of it. He lives part-time on the top two floors. Parking for the home is by the road and access is via a walkway along a 100 yard dirt road and then down about a dozen flight of stairs. Don provides a pull wagon that easily glides to the top of the stairs and held all our luggage and a couple of bags of groceries.

My wife and I would happily stay at Don's home again. We have already recommended it to friends. show more show less

My husband, Bernese Mountain Dog and I recently returned from a week at this lovely rental. While we have rented many homes in this area, the unique location and spectacular nightly sunsets at this house make it very special. The setting is private and tranquil. However, the house is also convenient to beaches, restaurants and nearby galleries.

The house was comfortably furnished and clean, especially during the summer of COVID. The kitchen was well stocked and offered every spice imaginable. I enjoyed the spacious outdoor shower. Don, one of the owners, was readily available to answer our questions and provide any help needed.

We are already looking forward to returning next summer.
