Description

It's like coming home. From the moment you turn onto our dirt road and see the bay, you will begin to relax. Our house is 150 steps from the beach, but surprisingly private. We are located on the bay side of the outer Cape in the desirable Indian Neck area. Our home and beach is very family-friendly! Our renters keep coming back! We have central air conditioning for steamy summer days and central heating for cool off-season nights. Explore low tide on our private beach or float down the ''lazy river'' in our tidal inlet. Enjoy swimming in water so warm it is like a bath! Then shower off in the outdoor shower. Find out what's playing at the Wellfleet Drive-In on the Wifi. Bring just yourselves--we supply all towels, linens, and beach equipment. Rainy days are not a problem here--our house comes stocked with toys, puzzles, and games--for kids and adults! We supply a portable crib and high chair. Bring your bikes for the Cape Cod Rail Trail or rent an SUP or kayaks nearby!

We have been coming to the Cape for years. This cottage is truly a gem. The sunsets were amazing. The beach which is steps away was so private and the water temperature was incredible. The cottage itself was immaculate and cozy. The central air conditioning was definitely a perk. Wouldn't change a thing.

    Beach Cottage

This cottage is a wonderful get away and a very short walk to a beautiful bay beach. It has such a homey feel as well as great amenities such as a washer and dryer, air conditioning, and they even supply the linens! The rooms are very comfortable and the yard is a great area for all to sit and read, watch the bay birds, or even kick a ball around. You immediately feel at home in such a beautiful location on Indian Neck.

    Perfect Vacation Rental

We (myself, husband, 2 daughters age 18 and 21 and a friend) had a lovely week in July. This rental is barely a 2 minute walk down a sandy road to get to the bayside beach. I loved getting up each morning with my coffee and walking to the beach and spending many entire days there watching the sunset. The sunsets from this side of the cape are spectacular!

The house itself is in the sand with pine trees all around for shade. This house is immaculate. So nice to come into a clean home! The bathrooms are new and there are plenty of towels. Also nice to not have to pack sheets and towels.

We did use the outside shower a lot. The kitchen is fully stocked to cook dinner, as well there is a new grille outside that works great.

The location of this home makes it easy to also go over to the National Seashore side where the big waves are, a 5-10 minute drive. We spent a couple of days at Cahoons Hollow and then went up to the Beach Comber for dinner.

Sarah, the owner, could not have been nicer. She was available for any questions we had yet not intrusive at all. We will definitely be back to this home!

    Charming cottage!

We've stayed at Sarah's twice now and it's such a special place. It's great for young kids. The walk to the beach is easy, the water calm and warm and best of all no dragging all the beach stuff back and forth, you can leave your chairs and toys set up for the day. The cottage is always clean and well-stocked and Sarah is incredibly helpful and quick to respond.

    Picture Perfect Family Vacation!

Our family of four (2 adults and 2 small children) had a wonderful week at Sarah's cottage. It is a short walk to the beach (as advertised!), which was perfect with two small children. We were able to walk back and forth for lunch and nap time. The water at the beach is shallow and calm and the marsh was perfect for wading and exploring. The sunsets were amazing!

The cottage itself is clean and pretty well-stocked. Sarah was very responsive and answered all our questions before and during our stay. show more show less

    A special place

My husband and I and another couple spent an awesome 5 days at Sarah's cottage in Wellfleet in June. We were pleasantly surprised at every turn. The inside decor is fresh and beachy but still retained all of its 1940 charm. We were thrilled to be able to see the water from the enclosed porch, and the sandy private road provided a picturesque access to the private beach. We spent most of our time there! The bedrooms are on opposite ends of the cottage so if you do go with other people, you have lots of privacy. Two bathrooms too!

Sarah was wonderful to work with. I felt like I knew her after just a few back and forths, and with the uncertainty of Covid 19 she was so helpful and kept us updated. The cottage was immaculately clean! We are already checking our calendars for another visit!

    Perfect spot on the Cape

As crowded and busy as the Cape can be, Sarah's cottage is on a dead end road with very little traffic. The beach is a town beach but, since there is no parking, the only people there are those within walking distance and that's not many.

In addition to the beach, the "lazy river" provides hours of exploration and play for the grandkids. As they have gotten older, this was our fifth stay at the cottage, they have found more ways to occupy themselves and paddling up the lazy river at high tide on the kayaks is a special bonus. The kids also enjoyed biking from the cottage and on the nearby bike trails.

The cottage has everything you might need for a relaxing vacation and is in a great location for exploring from Orleans to Provincetown.

I can't imagine any way that our vacation could have been better.

    Thank you, Sarah.

    Dreamy place to stay

I can’t say enough how much I love this place. It’s our 4th year coming back because we always have a great time. My sister and I brought our 4 small children and they had so much fun. The marsh creates a rich environment for learning and tons of wildlife. We will definitely be returning.

This house has been in my family since it was built in 1940. I have been coming here since I was ten days old. It is my happy place and we hope you will make it your happy place as well!

What is special about this property?
This is a magical location--a little cottage nestled in the pines, but so close to the beach. Nature abounds here! We love all the little creatures and birds we see in the yard. My favorite thing is to walk down our little dirt road and watch the sunset. It is different every night, but always beautiful. I never tire of it!

What is special about your town?
Wellfleet is a charming town. There is so much to do and see! The Drive-In is a must do! It's like going back in time--fun for kids and adults. There are many walking trails. Great Island has fantastic hikes. Make it all the way out to Jeremy Point at low tide! There are many beaches to explore and don't forget to pick up a sweatshirt at the Beachcomber! The bike trail starts in Wellfleet and goes all the way to Orleans!
