My mother, fiancé, and I stayed here for a week and had the best time. I don't think we realized how badly we needed a vacation until we got to Nurses Cottage. As soon as we stepped out of the car I could feel myself decompress. The deck looking out at the harbor was our favorite spot. We'd have coffee there in the morning and then dinner during sunset. The walk to town via Uncle Tim's Bridge is picturesque. The cottage is situated for maximum privacy despite other properties being nearby. While there, you feel away from everything but a 3 minute drive gets you into town and just slightly longer to get to the beaches. Emilia is a responsive and kind host. We just finished a beautiful week at the cottage, and it was perfect! Such a lovely setting, with a view of Wellfleet Harbor, and everything you need for a cozy, quiet vacation. The cottage is classic Cape Cod rustic, with some beautiful upgrades, a lovely deck, and everything you need to relax and enjoy. We loved how close we were to town (and I recommend Mayo Beach if you have little ones with you- especially at low tide when the Oyster Fishermen are out), and how we could walk down the path to see the harbor and walk along the shore. Emilia was an excellent host, very helpful and responsive. We were sad to leave! Will absolutely stay there again next year! show more show less

We really enjoyed our week at the Nurse's Cottage. The cottage has everything your could possibly need for a week on the Cape! It has the old Cape Cod charm with a lovely location right up from the Wellfleet Harbor. Morning walks were calm and peaceful and the sunsets were stunning. Emilia is a wonderful and very accommodating host, and it was great to hear the history surrounding this charming property. Peace...quiet...relaxation! A wonderful vacation!

Our family of 4 and our dog had a great vacation in this sweet little house, which has all the amenities needed for comfortable beach vacation. The views from the deck were amazing, and the bay beach at the end of the lane provided endless options for exploration and fun, including a somewhat neglected but always available tennis court! Emilia was easy to communicate with and very responsive.

This was our third time at this cozy cottage and we love it. It is quiet and deck is private with nice view. Love walking to town along the marsh and over Uncle Tim's bridge. Emilia put in a few new upgrades and is helpful if needed.. Hope to return next year!

My dog & I enjoyed a last minute vacation on the Cape in this cottage. It could not have been more perfect; centrally located to all of the National Seashore/ pet-friendly beaches, affixed with all of the amenities of home & a Cape vacation (think lobster pot, crackers & forks); along with central ac & fans in every room. As a bonus, picturesque views of Wellfleet Harbor; especially at sunset after a long day exploring the beaches of the Outer Cape. Emilia & her family were so wonderful to work with & meet. We had no issues but I’m sure if we had they would’ve been as responsive & attentive as they were w/ my inquiry i.e. responding to within hours/minutes. We’re so thankful to Emilia for sharing her little cottage with us & will definitely be back again! Thank you again! show more show less

This is long overdue. My wife and I stayed here last September, the same week Hurricane Jose came. Not the typical outdoor week by any means but a good adventure for sure.

Emilia was a pleasure to work with and made sure we weathered the storm safely, for that we are very appreciative!

The cottage is cozy, clean and private. With the weather howling, we stayed warm with a great heating system, ate lobsters bought in town, and relaxed .

We love history and to stay within harbor`s view was a treat .

The Nurse's Cottage was just right for us. It's a cozy place, near town in a quiet setting. We enjoyed the Harbor views from the deck and walking into town over Tim's bridge. My favorite moment: an early morning visit with a gorgeous fox outside the kitchen window! We hope to come back.

We had a most enjoyable week in this cottage. We are a family of 3 (adults in queen bedroom, child in the room w/ 2 twins). The setting is very pretty and quiet, on a road with lots of trees. There is a sandy beach at the end of the road, which is great for collecting shells, seeing horseshoe crabs and little crabs scurrying on the beach, and looking at the boats near the Wellfleet pier. The little beach was a hidden gem, although we opted not to swim there because it is a bit marshy. It would be a perfect spot for kayaking and paddle boarding.

The cottage is in an ideal location - short drive to the National Seashore, all the Wellfleet beaches, and very close to the kettle ponds, which are great for kids. The convenience store, liquor store, Dunkin Donuts, and PJs (clams/ice cream) are all within a mile as well, which made for easy stops when we needed something, yet you have the feeling of being further away from civilization when you're in the cottage. The cottage had all the necessities for dishware, storage containers, toilet paper, trash bags, etc. I'd definitely return to this cottage in the future! show more show less

I have been renting this cottage for a few years. New owner last year with a smooth transition. I hate to write a review as I don't want to lose my space there. I have always been there with only one other person, but they have put different beds in so it could handle 4. Very private, but easy to get into town or to the beaches (by car).
