Lovely 4 Bedroom - Walk to Everything!

We’ve been renting houses in Wellfleet for about 10 years and never rented at the same house more than once in those 10 years. We enjoyed staying at this home for one week this past summer and plan to return for two weeks this summer!

Number one for us is location. We have discovered through the years that we prefer to be within walking distance of Wellfleet Center in order for our group of two small families, along with teens, to be able to walk or ride bicycles into downtown Wellfleet, for the market, restaurants, coffee, farmers market, and the harbor, etc., on their own and not be dependent on cars or crossing route 6 in order to entertain themselves.

The house was nicer than we expected. It is nicely kept and has a fresh, clean feeling with no mustiness. There are lovely, traditional Wellfleet wildflower gardens abundantly around the house. Sitting on the back deck gazing at the sweeping expanse of garden in the back listening to the birds is one of my favorite memories.

The downstairs master bedroom seemed to be a converted parlor room but is pleasant and large. The bed was comfortable and firm and there are 2 small closets. There was an air conditioner in the window which in Wellfleet in the summer becomes a luxury if it is hot and humid. There was a small living room adjacent to the master bedroom.

The kitchen was great for breakfast and full of sunlight. Upstairs was extremely pleasant during the day with the sun streaming in and the bedrooms were also nicely furnished.

The downstairs bathroom doubled as the laundry room and the appliances were new models and there were towels available to use which was great for us as out-of-towners. (As an aside, I recommend Essential Rentals for bicycle rentals because when you arrive, the good quality bikes are already there at the house and you don’t have to return them; at the end of your stay, they come and get them!)

The white seashell driveway has enough length to accommodate three cars.

All in all, we enjoyed staying in this lovely, historic Wellfleet Home and look forward to staying there again this summer! show more show less

This well be our fourth year renting this beautiful home. It's always been spotless when we arrive, and it's comfortable and very nicely decorated. It has everything we need. Very close to Wellfleet center, only about a three-minute walk. Walking distance to harbor and town beach. About a twenty-minute car ride to P-town. My family loves this vacation and loves this home!

Two families rented this home last August, and we are returning this summer. The house is in a great location - especially for teens who can walk right into town. The rooms are larger than pictured, and the eat-in kitchen is spacious and well stocked with lovely dishes and cookware. The bathrooms are modern and the bedrooms are very comfortable. This house is well decorated and very clean. We ate most of our dinners on the lovely deck, overlooking the gardens and big backyard. We all love Laura's house and we can't wait to come back! show more show less
