Description

Nestled on a private road abutting the National Seashore and 15 minutes from Provincetown’s Commercial Street shopping/nightlife district, our house has everything you need for the perfect getaway. Beautifully updated in 2023 with new furniture and modern touches, and you'll love the open floorplan and abundance of natural light.

From beaches to bike paths, whale watches and hikes, and even drive-in movies…the absolute best of the Outer Cape is right at your doorstep!

After a day of swimming at any of the pristine beaches right nearby or biking on the trails, sprawl out on the enormous couch and enjoy a beautiful sunset on the big front deck.

The kitchen is fully stocked and ready for anything. Modern appliances, cookware, bakeware, and even a panini press await you. After dinner, wind down with a fire in the backyard fireplace.

For shopping, dining, or a night out, head to Commercial Street in Provincetown. Under 15 minutes from the house, Ptown’s main walkable street is always lively (even in winter!) and offers something for everyone. Or if you’re staying in, stream a movie on the smart TV and pull out some of the board games and cards!

When it’s time to sleep (linens provided!), on the main floor you’ll find two bedrooms, with a plush king bed in the primary and a firmer queen in the second. The lower floor (basement level) bedroom features 2 twin beds and a desk in case you need to work from “home!” The main floor bedrooms and living room/kitchen area have window AC units.

The bathroom boasts granite countertops and a detachable showerhead, and in the basement you’ll also find a washer/dryer. Easy entry with a keypad lock and fast WiFi to keep you as connected as you want to be.

We can’t wait for you to experience all of it!

    Comfortable & Accommodating

We stayed for 2 weeks at this home. I would recommend for group/family vacations. It is well stocked. The owner has everything you need to know in binder when you come in. It was especially welcoming with a basket of goodies. It was quiet, convenient and comfortable. Owner was very prompt with communication. Would not hesitate to book again.

    Great location

We had 4 adults staying in this home and we found it very comfortable and clean. Although the front deck overlooks the dirt road, we still found it enjoyable and peaceful to sit out there every day, especially in the morning. This is an ideal location for going to Head of the Meadow Beach and Race point Beach, which are our two favorites. There are many great restaurants within 20 minutes of this house. The bike trail is about 10 to 15 minutes away, depending on where you access it. We even took a walk on the secret trail, which we found so peaceful. show more show less

    Wonderful vacation house!

This house is perfect for your next Cape vacation – it has all the comforts of home. We enjoyed the A/C and the outdoor shower, the full kitchen, deck, and the comfy couch and beds. It's close to everything we wanted, yet on a quiet side street. The host was attentive and helpful – couldn't ask for more.

    Truro House

We had a great family vacation in the Truro
house in the wild woods of Truro. The house is very close to Corn Hill beach, a bay beach perfect for my 2 young grandchildren. We enjoyed our family dinners on the large front deck. It was definitely a hot summer week for the Cape and a good time was had by all.

My friends and I booked this place for the long labor day weekend and we loved it! We felt right at home every time we came back and relaxed in between adventures. We woke up every morning refreshed and enjoyed some time out on the patio. We bonded on the big comfy couch and had a lot of instagrammable moments!

My dad and I are excited to host you at the house that's been in our family since the 80s! With a long history of being called ''home,'' my goal is for you to feel as welcome and comfortable during your weeklong stay as my parents, cousins, and other outer Cape residents have over the decades.

What is special about this property?
This is one of the most underrated spots on the entire Cape. A quiet, forested neighborhood with a dirt road. You can take the secret forest paths and get to Longnook Beach without ever seeing Route 6. The Cape isn't even 3 miles wide at this point, so you're 5-10 minutes from the best beaches on both sides.

Nature, nature, nature. The National Seashore is basically at your doorstep. The Audubon in Wellfleet. The Provincelands. The Cape Cod Rail Trail. The Head of the Meadow Trail. All of it is so close!

You're 15 minutes from Commercial Street in Provincetown, the only truly walkable ''city'' on the Cape. Ptown has everything you could possibly want on your trip, so full of life and with a culture all its own. All kinds of restaurants, bars and clubs. Shopping. Beaches, whale watches, hikes, gay pride, the list goes on. The perfect place to spend the day/night, and then come back to Truro to relax in the serenity of it all.

All this, and I haven't even mentioned the house itself. It's been a family home for a long time, and you can feel it when you walk in. We made tasteful, modern upgrades (well, I did...my dad wants me to take some credit) and found great furniture that'll keep you comfy and relaxed. Big soft beds, well-lit rooms, tons of couch space, new and efficient appliances. A big front porch. Fast WiFi that reaches every room. A desk for taking some meetings, if you must. The house is the perfect place to unwind after a great day on the Cape.
