Wonderful, secluded house. 3 bedrooms, 2 baths (one queen plus four twin beds) in an ideal location off Great Hollow Rd. in Truro. Short walk to a pristine beach on Cape Cod Bay with swimming & hiking, gorgeous views and sunsets.
Five minute drive to Long Nook and Head Of The Meadow, spectacular ocean beaches, and many nearby ponds. A ten-minute drive to Provincetown and Wellfleet. This is a fantastic, owner-rented, Cape Cod style family vacation home nestled away in the woods -- private, secluded, quiet, safe, easy to get to and very comfortable. It is also walking distance to anything you need -- the beach, stores, bike trails and even a baseball field at the elementary school up the street. It's a five-minute walk to Truro Village, a wonderful little shopping center with a produce store, an excellent fish market, and across Great Hollow Road is Sweet and Savory restaurant, which has great pastries for breakfast, coffee, newspapers, sandwiches, pizza and really good ice cream.
Ours is a classic Cape Cod home with a well-equipped kitchen, an open, light-filled living room, two bedrooms upstairs and a foyer that can be used by kids to sleep in. We love our new kitchen window and our new dining room lighting. For those warm days we have five fans, while for the colder spring and fall days we have insulation and central baseboard heat. The house is constructed with solid wood flooring and beams and has a great feel. We have digital TV with cable, wireless access, board games, books, stereo; all available for your use.
Folks love the large private deck with umbrella dining table, lounge chairs, Weber grill and retractable awning. We also have a big, finished floor, clean basement with a ping pong table, washer and dryer, three bikes you're welcome to use, several beach chairs and sporting stuff and access to the outside. The house is wired for wireless internet access, the TV/DVD is HD, and our area is serviced by Comcast.
Well-lit wood plank walkway from the flat spacious driveway to the house. Front yard, Surrounded by an acre of well-kept grounds and nice trees, with a great outdoor shower and soothing hammock, this is truly a relaxing and comfortable vacation house. We have owned the house since 1994, and we love it. We want you enjoy it as if it were your house while you are there.
As far as towels/linen, if you are driving to our house, we ask that you bring your own, just so as to make changeovers easier. If you are flying in to the area, we will provide you with towels and linens.
We only have two nonnegotiables: no pets (not negotiable, sorry) and no smoking on the premises (including the deck). The house smells wonderful, and we would like to keep it that way. Thanks.
