Staying at magical Ryder Beach Farm has become a treasured tradition in our family. My daughter has grown up helping Harriet, the owner, care for horses, donkeys, chickens, and goats. From the hilltop one can see the pathway across the dunes to the bay. I'm grateful that we get to stay here each year and wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else! My favorite new additions are the geese. They are nosy and peek in the doorway, but are not aggressive at all... very shy around strangers but nonetheless adorable. Harriet's cottage and her wonderful animals make a marvelous vacation spot. I loved being surrounded by the sounds of the birds, the antics of the geese and the friendliness of Emma, the Bernese Mountain Dog. The views of the sky from her elevated location are stunning. And being able to stroll down a gravel road and over the dunes to the beach added to my tranquility. If you like to get close to nature, and yet sleep in a comfortable bed (and enjoy a large, modern bathroom!), this little cottage is perfect. show more show less

We discovered Ryder Beach Farm in Truro about 5 years ago and have been going back every year since. Ryder Beach Farm is truly one of the few, unspoiled places left on the Outer Cape, and its host, Harriet, is as welcoming as the beautiful landscape. The farmhouse is quintessential Cape Cod, located on a gentle hill and surrounded by conservation land with a not too distant view of the sea. Most days, we take a five-minute stroll to Ryder Beach and soak in the views of Cape Cod Bay with Provincetown in the distance, and stay for the magnificent sunsets. Harriet is a flower lover and keeps the yard bursting with blossoms throughout the summer season. She is also an animal lover and tends to her family of horses, donkey, goats, chickens and two dogs. The renovated rental cottage behind the main house is very sweet with an extra lovely bathroom and clever little equestrian accents. The location in South Truro makes for an leisurely bike ride to Wellfleet center and easy car ride to Provincetown for great dining options.

Our daughter looks forward to every summer trip to see Harriet and her "family."

Spent a week last summer at the Studio and can't wait to return this year. The studio is charming and well equipped and Harriett is a wonderful host. Was so much fun getting to know her and her animals -especially Emma!! It is the perfect place to get away from the hustle of everyday life, to just sit back, relax and breathe in the sea air. A perfect place to visit anytime year round.

Ryder Beach Farm is a piece of heaven! If you love nature and animals, this is the place for you. We love the very short walk to Ryder Beach, the very peaceful setting, the adorable Cape Cod studio and the close proximity to Provincetown, Wellfleet and Truro. The owner, Harriet, is wonderful and full of helpful information. You will love this place!

We stayed here last year and are headed back again this June. We LOVE this place! The cottage is small but cozy and has everything we needed. The bed in the loft is super-comfy. I haven't slept so well in months! Large, beautiful new bathroom with spacious shower and two sinks. Harriet is the perfect host and we immediately became friends. We love the farm atmosphere and all the animals: Cats, dogs, goats, horses and a donkey. Great private, very peaceful location. Just a short walk to one of the most beautiful beaches on the Cape and a quick drive to shops and great restaurants in Truro and Wellfleet. show more show less
