Janette's home was bright, spacious and comfortable. We had plenty of room for our family of seven. The private beach, which was a 5 minute walk from the house, is beautiful and quiet. It was nice to have an outdoor shower and a large porch. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway within walking distance to a beach, this is a great place.

Everything was terrific -- the house has plenty of space for all of our family and the walk to the beach so easy. Plus, lots of great beach stuff to bring! The private beach was so idyllic and we had a great time there during the days and for sunsets. The kids loved the ping pong table and all the games in the house. Quiet and peaceful, we'd love to come back. Great to have the new AC units in for the humid days.

In my childhood, we would visit our grandparent's at their beach house. It was an idyllic time. Stayiing at Helen's Dream House calls to mind those days. This is why we come back.
Now Janette does NOT hover over us like my Gram did, but she is a wonderful host- she's responsive for everything but her instructions are impeccable.
The house is well provisioned and Janette provides volumes of helpful instructions, local tips and how to make the best of your stay. We will be back many times.

The stay at Helen's Dream House was just what my family needed. The home was the perfect base of operation for trips to the beach, jaunts to Sandwich or other locations on the Cape or to hang around and relax. There was close proximity to good restaurants, the neighborhood was calm, quiet and pleasant, and the walk to the beach took only a few minutes which made it perfect for taking young kids to/from the water's edge as needed.

Janette was very responsive and made a ton of resources available to us via email (and printed copies at the home). With so many things to do on the Cape, we are already thinking of our return trip!

Upon entering Helen's Dream House, we were struck by the airy, open, sunlit layout. It is clean and set in beautiful, green, birdsong area from which, in the absolute quiet of the night, you can hear the waves coming to shore on a gorgeous expansive beach which is only a 5 min walk away.

A guest book, going back several years, attests to guests' consistent satisfaction. The kitchen provides drawers of those cooking implements we use in daily prep. We found pretty much all we needed.

Janette, diligent re the needs of her guests, was very responsive. She obviously has her guests' interest at heart as she paid attention to helpful details, i.e., she suggested we bring water shoes if we planned to walk on the edge of the water because the beach (at low tide?) features small rocks.

We would definitely consider returning to this lovely spot.

I stayed at Janette's home with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday and enjoy a long weekend in Cape Cod. Janette was a great host and answered all of my questions promptly as well as provided great local information and house instructions. The house itself was absolutely wonderful- spacious and private with beautiful views and well stocked amenities. We also thoroughly enjoyed the beach that was just a short walk from the house. Janette and her lovely home made our vacation perfect and I look forward to visiting again in the future.

We had a wonderful week staying at Helen's Dream House. As soon as we walked in, it felt like home. There is so much room to hang out. Great that there is a library with interesting books, magazines, puzzles, and games. And a table for an in-process puzzle to reside. The kitchen is well-equipped, and we found everything we needed was available. Loved hearing the ocean waves. Plus, how secluded and woodsy the property is. We saw lots of bunnies. Very relaxing. And best of all, the beach is within walking distance. The owners were also very responsive to any questions we had during our booking process.

Despite the rainy weather (Hurricane Lee!!) we had an amazing time at Helen's Dream House. The home is beautiful and had everything we could want. The private beach is such a gem! The birds, rabbits, and turkeys gave us so much entertainment ... and nothing beats the sound of the waves in the near distance. THANK YOU and we hope to come back again.

Once again we have had a lovely vacation staying at Helen's Dream House and were blessed with beautiful weather. We will cherish the memories made here!

This has been an exceptional June here at Helen's Dream House! Beautiful sunny days plus the thrill of a thunderstorm and days of stormy seas. It's so lovely to go to sleep with the sound of the waves. We were joined by our best friends from Connecticut for 5 days and spent time with friends from Brewster. Doug is a volunteer miller, and the Herring Warden in Brewster. We saw the herring fry leaving the pond and a flock of black-crowned night herons waiting for them! Miles of beach walks! Coast guard beach, Race Point, PTown and a 7 1/2 mile hike at Sandy Neck. Love the ping pong on a rainy day!

Thank you so much for sharing Helen's Dream House. Such a beautiful spot and such a relaxing vacation. A wonderful way to begin the summer. We are certainly looking forward to the next time!

The house and location were perfect. My brief 4 days there seemed like a week. I quickly settled into a relaxing routine, enjoying the flow of the days, relaxing in the airy and unique house and on its wonderful giant decks (yes, plural!), exploring the quiet and safe neighborhood, making the mere 5 minute walk to the gorgeous beach where everyone was welcoming despite it being a private beach, running and hiking on the conservation trails across the street or at the state beach park a few minutes away, showering outside under the blue sky, watching the giant TV screen at night, and puttering around Sandwich, Barnstable and even across the bridge in Plymouth where I met dear relatives.

As others have noted, sleeping to the sound and sight of the ocean capped off this gift of an experience. Equally wonderful was the responsiveness and kindness of the owners to any and all questions I had. They even left some local treats for me to enjoy!

Third time renting the property- love the short walk to a lovely breach and the quiet location. Perfect for a family vacation. We plan on returning!

A fine house in a fine location, well equipped, and with retro style touches.

I always enjoy my stay at 'Helen's Dream House'. And this year was no exception. I love the fact that the house is very open with lots of windows and the location is very private. And I'm always pleased that the kitchen is so well equipped. I've always found whatever tool I needed.

The homeowners are lovely people; very accommodating and always very responsive. I will be back, for sure!

We spent two weeks here; the first week with my brother's family and the second week with just us. For the first week, we had plenty of space with the cousins all enjoying sharing the room with the bunk beds and the two twins. The kitchen is compact, but we made it work for our meals while also grilling most nights.

The best part of the house is the location. It really can't be beat. You can hear the waves from the lovely yard or one of two porches.There is nice privacy and the bird watching was fantastic. The walk to the private association beach is very short and it was never crowded. As most of the other reviews said- water shoes are a must as it is very rocky near the shoreline, but there was plenty of sand for the kids to play in near the dunes. It was also a treat to bring wood down to the beach and make a fire for smores one night.

The lighting in the house was gorgeous and you have water views from one bedroom upstairs and a stunning view of the stars and moon from the other upstairs bedroom. Overall, it was a great stay and the owners were responsive with any requests. There was plenty of beach chairs, a beach cart and the kids loved the outdoor shower.

My family and friends spent one week at Helen's Dream House and our stay has been great. The house was clean, amazing location near the beach and kids friendly. I highly recommend it.

Large back yard and privacy, outdoor deck is nice to sit down and enjoy dinner or breakfast.

The house was perfect. It has all you need in terms of space and location. The neighborhood is quite, safe and friendly.

The beach can be reached by walking no more than 7 minutes or you can park in the resident reserved parking spaces if you need to carry lots of stuff! The beach is very spacious!

You can also visit many other places nearby. We had a wonderful time and would love to come back! The hosts were always available in case we needed them.

This property was just perfect for us. There is more than enough room to spread out and the kitchen was stocked with all utensils and pots we could use. The close proximity to the beach is great. Although the weather was wonderful for the first of November, it was not beach weather and we could not enjoy the water, but we did get to take a walk on the beach. I would most definitely rent this property again. The landlord checked in to make sure all was as expected and was going well. I appreciated the juice and the Cape Cod chips. What a nice treat. A wonderful host.

We arrived to the sound of the ocean waves crashing on the nearby beach. Such a beautiful welcome from nature. This house had so much room for our reunion of cousins. We spread out in the well-appointed bedrooms. We spent a lot of time around the big, round kitchen table eating and talking. The spacious family room was also extremely comfortable and the large windows let in an abundance of sunshine. The beach was an easy walk down the street. The location just off route 6A made it easily accessible to shopping and dining a few minutes away in either direction. It is clearly evident the homeowners have taken care of their home inside and out. There are plenty of games and books for fun and relaxation. My cousins raved about the home and hope to come back here again next year.

My wife and I, my son and his wife and my two granddaughters stayed at Helen's Dream House for our summer vacation. There was plenty of room for all of us and we were delighted with the floor plan and the care that Janette and Peter took in ensuring that everything we needed was there for us.The house was clean and inviting. We especially liked sitting on the deck under the umbrella and watching the birds come to the birdbath, and a family of wild turkeys wandered through as well.

Getting down to the private beach was an easy walk and if we wanted to take the car, there was a beach pass, so no hassles. The house is located near the center of Sandwich and there are plenty of restaurants near by, so we never got bogged down in heavy traffic during the peak season on the Cape. We were very pleased with our stay and we would not hesitate to recommend this rental to our friends.

We spent a week at Helen's Dream House. The house itself is perfect. Airy, uncluttered, clean has all necessary supplies including beach chairs, plenty of towels, etc. The beach is a short walk away The furnishing is perfect retro-chic 70s beach house. Had a great time. We were only four but all the bedrooms are nice and would be great for two couples with kids (who get along) to share the bunk room. Water is cold in Cape Cod Bay in late June -- make no mistake -- but we drove across one day to Hyannis to hit the beach (and a minor league ball game) there for a change of pace. Would definitely go back

We had a wonderful time. The house is perfect for a relaxing vacation. The beach is a short walk from the house. You can also drive and park with the provided pass. My boys enjoyed the beach. They found hermit crabs as the tide was going out in the evening. There are lovely restaurants a short drive away, but we mostly ate at the house with the supplied grill though. We enjoyed relaxing in the large living room. The house has everything you could possibly want.

We have recently returned from our fifth stay at Helen's Dream House. This is a great property. I love the quiet, peaceful privacy of the neighborhood AND it's so close to the beach. The house itself (especially the kitchen) has everything you need. It's open and airy and not at all cluttered. Whenever I'm here, I'm totally relaxed and happy as a clam! And you will be too!

Great vacation at Helen's dream house. This is our second year going. We love the location,very nice quiet neighborhood. The house was clean, has all the commodities that you need, and most importantly great proximity to the private beach. We are definitely going back and absolutely will recommended to friends and family.

Had a great time with my family here. Close to the water and in a quiet neighborhood. In very low tides the sandbar off the beach is very large and shallow, which makes for some nice beach adventures. Chairs for the beach and grill were available which came in handy. The owners are very easy to work with. Highly recommend.

We rented this house for 3 weeks. The house is spacious, clean and perfectly located in walking distance (5 min) from the ocean beach. The surroundings are great - there are many birds and friendly animals (rabbits, squirrels, etc.) around the house. The house can easily fit up to 6-8 people. The key point is that house is really "smart" - the owners set up all in such a comfortable manner that you can easily guess where any required stuff is located. The house manual is not even needed since it is enough to use your intuition to find everything - owners really cared about the people who are going to rent it.

We had a wonderful family stay at the house, which was roomy, bright, and comfortable with attractive hardwood floors. The property is beautiful, and is located in a very peaceful and attractive setting. It was great to have the private beach so close to the house, and to have two private association tennis courts available for our use. Janette was a pleasure to deal with at all times. We would not hesitate to rent the house again!!

I have just returned from my second stay at this spacious Sandwich beach home. The house is great. It is very well equipped with big windows and lots of them! It's in a very quiet neighborhood, but only a seven minute walk to the beach. The owner is very helpful and accommodating and answered all of my inquiries in a very timely fashion. A wonderful vacation!

We had a great time on the Cape. Travelled a lot. Even had good days when it rained!!!
First time in Cape Cod but certainly not the last.

We enjoyed the comfort of the home, the environment and its proximity to the sea at a walking distance.
We suggest to inform tenants the need for swimming shoes because of rocks on the beach and at the entrance to the sea. We highly recommend renting this house.

We were a large group of older adults with our twentysomething kids. Most of us were riding the Pan Mass Challenge and the Sergios house was perfect for our complicated Cape Cod logistics and celebratory finish to the PMC. The space was comfortable, not fussy, with everything we needed to keep us all happily fed, watered down, and with sweet dreams. The sunrise in the big windows is spectacular!

The best part is the beach! It's so close you can walk in minutes, and it is thoroughly gorgeous! We loved being so close and only had to remind our crew to bring their flip flops to walk on the rocks. Thank you for a restful haven during our intense PMC weekend. We'll be back!

We spent 2 weeks at this lovely home, which is just a 7-minute walk from a private bay side neighborhood beach. The beach is perfect for families and never crowded. The neighborhood is very nice for long walks or bike rides when you want a change from sand. The house has decks on both sides, eating areas inside and out, fully equipped kitchen, ample linens, large living room and very quite private back yard. We really enjoyed the large variety of birds that visited the berry bushes and trees in the yard. I filled the bird baths and had many regular visitors. Great place for adults and families. An added bonus is the village of Sandwich, which is close by.

The wooden floors are a masterpiece! This is a dream house!!! It was very nice, being close to the ocean and surrounded by nature. Thanks. Same time next year?
