Sandwich, MA in Cape Cod is home to several large ocean beaches. The most famous landmark is the Sandwich Boardwalk extending over a marsh towards Town Neck Beach. Most summer beach days, at high tide, you will find groups of kids jumping off into water. East Sandwich Beach is a long beach along North Shore Road where you will find a number of vacation rentals, but smaller parking keeps this beach from becoming too crowded. The other ocean beach is
Sandy Neck Beach. Sandy Neck is located in Barnstable and only available for Sandwich residents. The Gatehouse at Sandy Neck Beach provides 4-wheel drive permits.
Freshwater ponds such as Peters Pond, Snake Pond and Wakeby Lake are nice alternatives to the bay side, ocean beaches.
Parking stickers are required starting Memorial Day on weekends and daily starting the final weekend of June.
