Beachfront home with views like a ship at sea!

Summer Wind is a beautiful beach cottage - clean, comfortable, well-appointed, and well-stocked. We have stayed here four times, and have already requested a stay next year.

Our favorite spot is the back deck and beach sand area, where we enjoy our morning coffee as we gaze out at the ocean, and where we later relax with a good book, toes in the sand, or gather with company. The views and the sounds of the ocean are amazing.

Long walks on Sagamore Beach are peaceful and restorative, with powdery sand giving way to long stretches of unspoiled sand bars, just begging for footprints. And the owners, Patsy and Joe, provide comfortable beach chairs and a shade cabana for guest use, so there is no need to haul all your stuff from home. Toys, boogie boards, a floating mat, etc. are also available for your use.

After a day of sand and sunshine, a warm rinse in the outdoor shower is most welcome. It's a spacious shower, with room enough to bring in a change of clothes without them getting wet - definitely a plus!

The cottage is well-stocked with cookware, a coffee pot, dishes, paper products, and even some basic staples so you can feel right at home without needing to bring everything along. And if you don't feel like cooking, there are great eateries nearby on both sides of the canal, which cater to a variety of tastes.

We have a special place in our hearts for this beautiful home away from home. I'm finding myself already longing for next year. Thank you, Patsy and Joe for sharing your paradise!

I would give 10 stars if possible. This is the most adorable place to stay. Exceptionally clean and close to everything. The beach is beautiful. Many places to walk and dine and shop. The owner goes above and beyond to make everything easy with books on any question you could possibly have About watching TV or going out or places to shop etc. She has everything stocked in advance. It was an incredible stay I would recommend it to anybody.

OMG!
We rented the cottage last year and loved it so much that we booked again for the spring. We still can believe the views and proximity to the beach. The owner took great care to make sure that we had everything we needed to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. We are now regular visitors and look forward to our next stay. Frank and Cathy

We finally arrived home from our holiday, and we already wants to return to your beautiful cottage. Both Henry and I were unprepared for the spectacular views front inside your house. Your pictures don't show the true magnificence of those ocean and beach views. We took hundreds of pictures. Your home was so clean and all the extras hospitalities made for a fantastic vacation. We wanted for nothing. It was so relaxing we never ended up leaving the house. Both Henry and I have never experienced such a relaxing vacation. Very thankful you supplied the hair dryer our hair dryer we brought did not have the adaptor for US.
You beach table was such a hoot. The people in the area are super pleasant and kind. We will be back in the US in 2016 and would like to rent a month. Thank you for our most fantastic vacation ever!

My family had such a wonderful time at this beautiful house. It had gorgeous ocean views and we loved falling asleep at night to the sound of the waves. The house was immaculate and adorably decorated to enhance the beach experience. The outdoor deck was spectacular to have oceanfront meals or just sit and enjoy the views. I especially appreciated the availability of beach chairs and toys and all the essentials were included! A plus, plus. The private beach was key to our enjoyment as well...no crowd to beat! My daughter cried when we had to leave but we will be back again next year! show more show less

We've rented 6 times on Phillips Rd. before we found this pure treasure. This house has the best views on the entire street - pure unobstructed ocean and beach views. It was immaculate, nicely decorated, comfy beds, and this rental came with so much amenities that it felt like my regular home. The owner is nice, and responsive, she actually went above and beyond helping us book activities. The house was so close to the water, we never even packed a cooler for lunches, we just went back and forth as needed.
We love this rental, and this is now the ONLY place we will rent on Sagamore Beach. We actually felt like we had a real vacation with 3 small children. A parents dream!

We really enjoyed our stay. The beach house is exactly as described, clean and well appointed. The location is perfect and the beach is looking lovely. We will definitely recommend this property to our friends that will be visiting the area. We will be back!

I had meant to write a review after our stay in 2011 but time got the best of me! However, I felt compelled as we went to finalize our plans for our bi-annual 2 week Cape vacation. We had such a lovely time in 2011 staying at this spot and I was VERY sad to see I had delayed too long to grab it again mid-August! The beach convenience was wonderful and the private sandy area just in front was great for our 2 little girls when we didn't feel up to the beach. The house, although small, never felt cramped due to the high ceiling and wonderful decorating job. We found it very well appointed with everything we could need. The outdoor space was well used and we spent most of our time out there except a few rainy days. The convenience to Boston of this area is excellent. So much so that despite a work emergency and funeral calling us back twice during our 2 weeks we still were able to take full advantage of the 2 weeks. If you are considering it... move fast!
