Highly recommend renting this property. Located only a short walk from the beach, this cottage was the perfect location for our small family. The house was immaculate upon arrival, had everything one would need, and was very well kept overall. With a huge kitchen, 3 bedrooms and a beautiful patio, it made for the most pleasant beach getaway. As a family with small children, we enjoyed its proximity to the beach and distance from the Marketplace - where the kids can enjoy activities and Mom/Dad can have some fun. The owners were kind, responsive and easy to work with. We hope to have the opportunity to rent this property again next year. show more show less

Perfect summer cottage. We truly enjoyed our two week stay there. Cheerful rooms with a great sized kitchen which can easily fit a large family. Everything you need is provided by the owners. Wonderful location. Beach is right down the street and whatever else you need is a bike ride away. My kids keep asking when we are going to return! Can't wait for next summer

I am reluctant to write this review, because I don't want competition for dates next summer! :) This is the perfect Cape home! The house is always clean upon arrival. Linens are provided if you don't want to bring your own. The beach is an easy 90 second walk. And the Spit which is popular with the kids is easily manageable, and I have three young children! The Market Place is close by via walking, bike or car. We have rented this home for six years and there is not a thing I would change. Mike and Joanne are always accommodating and gracious hosts. We will continue to rent this home for summers to come. It is perfect! show more show less

Wonderful, charming cottage in a great location. Easy walk to the beach and "the Spit", a great bay beach perfect for young kids or future marine biologists who are more interested in the various forms of crustaceans than catching a wave. The cottage was well appointed with everything we needed for a week away. Mike and Joanne are very accommodating owners and were very easy to work with.

Only one word to describe this Cape house...PERFECT! This was my fifth summer renting from the Hogan family and I will be coming back for as long as they will have me. The home is only nine houses from the lovely private family beach making it easy to get yourself (kids and friends) to and fro. The cottage itself is great. Always neat yet warm and welcoming with all the plates, glassware (even champagne glasses), and pots/ pans you could need. The large kitchen table has been the focal point of many a wonderful memory made between friends and family. There is even a nice deck that catches sun all day where many a morning cup of coffee has been drunk. Enjoy your time here...I know I will. show more show less

This is the second summer that we have rented Mike and Joanne’s cottage on Popponessett. Their home is charming, immaculate, and offers all the amenities that we need. The outdoor shower is always a favorite after a nice day of tennis, riding bikes, clamming, etc. It is conveniently located near 2 beautiful beaches (easy walks) and the marketplace… a nice destination on bike or foot for a delicious ice cream, lobster roll, etc. The street is quiet, and perfect for kids to play outside, ride bikes, set-up lemonade stands and enjoy the other lazy day summertime activities. The conveniently located community center is another attraction for the younger kids. We have enjoyed our vacations, and hope to go back again soon. Joanne and Mike do everything to make the vacation as easy and stress-free as possible, and are completely accessible to answer any questions, or offer necessary suggestions.
