Quintessential Cape Cottage in Nauset Heights

This was our families first time visiting Cale Cod. We were very impressed with the location of this home. At the bottom of the hill is a tidal pond where you can see seals, herons, and dig for clams. We launched our paddle board from another beach (Priscilla) that was at the end of the road. This was a great spot to bring our dog and watch sunsets. A little further of a walk (half mile) was the ocean beach (Nauset) which our kids loved playing in the waves. On our way home from the ocean we would always stop at another beach on the bay and the kids would chase after the variety of crabs (blue, hotshot, and fiddler). The home was perfect for our family of 5, and is stocked with a variety of family board games. We prepared all of our meals at the home and would frequent the towns fresh fish market for fresh lobster and scallops to bring back and eat on the back deck. We rented for many summers in various places on the cape and this cottage was a find. The kitchen is well-stocked with everything needed. The bedrooms were all comfortable and the place overall was clean and neat. We enjoyed the front deck and the comfortable living area for hanging out, game playing, and reading. The pictures on the listing and description are accurate. There is a 10-minute walk to a private section of Nausett... and just under a mile to the public part of that beach. Also appreciated the 10pm quiet hours...in the small community of cottages. The owners were very quick and responsive in answering questions. show more show less
