I've lived in East Orleans year round for the past 44 years and look forward to sharing any accumulated information you might need to make this the most memorable vacation yet! Both my other home AND my business (beach road muscular therapy) are each just a block to 1/2 mile away respectively, so I can help you pretty quickly should anything come up (unless I'm underwater or bodysurfing - my favorite places to be!)

Next year I will celebrate 25 years of year round practice at beach road muscular therapy! Prior to that I'd done the ''Cape Cod Shuffle'' haha - 28 years of garden design/landscape beautification, during and after college - 15 years of waitressing/prep cooking/catering, 10 years of cottage cleanings, 10 years of Paradise Fruit produce sales and restaurant delivery. 9 years as a nanny, 15 years cooking dinners privately for elders in their own homes, housesitting, decorative interior floor painting, home design/renovation - you name it! It all manifests into a huge case of ''House Pride'' at my sweet rental - from a love of hospitality to lovely gardens and cool interior spaces!!

What is special about this property?
This house was originally a 1944 fishing cabin!
Renovated by previous owners (architects) in the 80s, they left bedrooms from the existing house that did not age like fine wine haha, were removed/rebuilt in 2023. My repeat guests are so happy with my design AND that it kept the charm and unique qualities of the original house. It has a super cool fireplace/chimney, which while it's no longer safe to use, is a fun focal point.
While being theoretically on Main St, this home enjoys exceptional privacy from being on a panhandle lot off Main Street itself. Big sky views, mature beautiful trees, lovely to hear the church bells a few properties away, lots of birds (including osprey and hawks) soaring overhead... yet a pleasant walk or short drive to ice cream, restaurants, 2 farm stands, and River Road Landing - a really special place! Renters and guests love both the uniqueness and open airy design of the house, combined with the privacy while still being super close to everything in East Orleans.
At the end of the day, the beds are SO comfy, the bedrooms well spaced from each other, TV/ streaming/movies for all ages if you've had enough chit chat, or PLEASE feel free to dig into the bookcase and borrow any of my books - being a bookworm, I've had fun curating favorite selections for every age! There's quite a variety including local interest AND almost the entire old Nancy Drew series, which I'd discovered on vacation here as a child and was thrilled to find a few years ago!

What is special about your town?
Orleans is the first town you hit on Cape that has both the ocean AND the bay - each with their own wildly different and diverse offerings for both beauty and recreation. We also have ponds, lakes, many salt water rivers, coves, every variety of water offerings imaginable!

We also have many beautiful nature trails with exquisite views and flora and fauna, playgrounds, parks, the Cape Cod Rail Trail (25+ mile bike trail), food trucks, live music, art shows and galleries and many unique and diverse boutiques, coffee shops, and a fabulous variety of restaurants!

Hosts of July 4th parade and Rock Harbor Fireworks, fish markets, chowder, and lobster rolls galore...summertime just doesn't get any better than this!!!
