We had a wonderful week at the Skaket Beach house. Our trip started off with a warm welcome from Jennifer who reached out just to be sure we were settled in. The house is very comfortable and the proximity to the beach is great. Especially walking to Skaket beach for the amazing sunsets - no need to drive in the sunset "traffic". Just as great is the quiet and peaceful backyard. We enjoyed the marsh view which makes you feel like you're away from it all. So relaxing. I especially enjoy how close the house is to the Cape Cod rail trail and an easy drive to the ocean beaches.

My wife and I stayed here for five nights in May to enjoy the Cape before the summer rush. The Skaket Beach House provided just what we needed. A comfortable and relaxing home with a spectacular marsh view and a beautifully kept yard. Jennifer was quick to respond to any questions we had. We appreciated the close proximity to the beach and the Town center. The house is very clean, well maintained, and the beds are very comfortable.

This is our 3rd year staying at the Skaket Beach house. The hosts were great to work with the whole time also very responsive to any questions we had. The house was extremely clean upon arrival. Our family loves the location to walk to Skaket for beach days and sunsets and even close to the bike trail. The kids loved running around the big back yard and we loved having quite mornings on the back deck. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a great vacation! 10/10!

Beautiful, we'll-maintained house in a wonderful quiet marsh setting and walking distance to a fantastic beach. You couldn't ask for more. We look forward to coming back next year.

The Skaket Beach House is now our favorite Cape house! Jennifer, the host, was delightful to work with from the inquiry, to the booking, through the arrival and check out process. The house was beautifully decorated with a coastal and cozy theme. The house was so clean and had all the amenities like home. The rooms had plenty of drawers and closet space for all of our clothes. There were hooks in all the rooms for hanging towels, jackets, etc. The extra closet in the front hallway was great for putting our shoes and beach bags. The beds were very comfortable too.

The landscaping was gorgeous with a large backyard and deck, overlooking a marsh. The hot tub was a bonus and we used it several times. We used the grill several nights and it worked great! Our family loved playing air hockey in the basement and had our routine game nights all week long.

One of the most favorite things about this house is the proximity to our favorite beach! Even though our girls are older (12 & 9), they love the bayside beach. We walked to/from Skaket Beach everyday and it was perfect! This house is in a great location to everything - grocery store, downtown shops and restaurants in Orleans, Ice Cream Cafe, and Rock Harbor Pier. We were able to easily hop on the CCRT (rail trail) and biked to one of our favorite seafood places, Cobie's, one night.

Thank you for a fantastic week at Skaket Beach House, Jen & Dan! We made so many memories and can't wait to come back!

This was our 3rd year staying at the Skaket Beach House, and we are happy to say nothing has changed! The house is still as clean as it was the first year. The yard is just as nice (if not nicer) and always well kept. We love the little, quiet private road the property sits off of. We feel safe in the neighborhood.
There is amazing bird life, as well as a few bunnies always around the yard. I love enjoying my morning coffee on the back deck overlooking the yard and marsh.
We always go to Chatham, as well as Provincetown, so it' a nice in-between location for driving to either. It's 10 minute walk to the beach, which we were able to maximize this year, by not having to bring our dog. (We love the option to be allowed to bring a pet, as we don't always have someone to watch him at home). The house is so well cleaned, that doesn't have any signs of allowing pets, which is appreciated.
Our daughter loves the air hockey table, and we all make use of the hot tub.
The outdoor shower is never buggy (otherwise I wouldn't use it!) and a great size, so you aren't bumping into the sides. I could go on and on about it all.
Jennifer is always available via phone call, text or email and very easy to work with, We look forward to our return each year.

This is an absolutely darling little Cape home, beautiful views of a large wetlands expanse with many many birds! We visited in mid October, we had great weather. Many beach walks in t-shirts. The hot tub on the back deck is a highlight. It's a 1/4 mile walk to Skaket beach, there is no sidewalk but the road is not that busy and there are other walkers. It's about 0.5 mile in the opposite direction to the bike path. The remote controlled gas fireplace was a hit. Very toasty. There are three beds, and it's BYO linens fyi. All the basic amenities are there, laundry, dishwasher, drip coffee maker, gas stove, really nice water pressure and hot water in the bathroom, outdoor shower on the deck… very nice overall. We did bring our dog and all was well, but the marsh in the back is home to coyotes, we heard them yipping and howling after dark, and our Husky mix pup was spooked. Highly advise keeping your dog close by your side after dark, though most likely the coyotes would keep away if there were people outside too. The experience lent to the adventure of the location!

Enjoyed our stay here. Home was very clean and well appointed. The extra sitting area was a plus, we spent 2 very cozy nights enjoying the warmth of the fireplace. Location is convenient to Orleans making our morning coffee run to our favorite coffee shop a breeze. Would definitely stay here again.

This is our 3rd time renting this home and we're already looking forward to the 4th. Spacious, clean and on a great private lot. So close to Skaket beach we often ride our bikes down to catch the sunset. You can't beat this location as it's minutes away from great restaurants, shopping and even a brewery. The bike trail network can also connect you to local businesses without the traffic. We loved spending time in the yard and there's lots of wildlife in the marsh. There's 2 separate seating areas with TV's and a great basement for games if you have a rainy day. We were fortunate with a perfect week of weather and spent most of our downtime on the deck under the awning. We can't recommend this place enough and are so happy we found it. If your looking for a mid-cape rental that's close to everything but also quiet and private you can't beat this house.

HOME AWAY FROM HOME My family and I had such a great time and stay at Jennifer's home. It was so clean, comfortable, private, and very calming. We loved the backyard and deck so much. The area was so quiet at night and felt very secluded. The home is also perfect for a dog! We will definitely be back!! Thank you, Jennifer!!

Jennifer's home was just perfect for what we needed and we were even able to bring our pup!! We escaped after the holidays, so were there off-season, and didn't really do anything touristy except relax!! It was about 1/2 mile walk to Skaket Beach and a short drive to Nauset Beach. Just under a mile to the center of town which has everything you need (grocery stores, coffee shops- definitely recommend the Hot Chocolate Sparrow, restaurants, boutique stores, etc). Skaket Road is on the busier side, but definitely still walkable to the beach and both entrances of the Bike Path. We loved Jennifer's home and were able to utilize the fireplace on cold nights and also enjoyed the game room downstairs (equipped with Ms. Pacman, Wii and an Air Hockey table). The home is on the smaller side, but didn't feel small when you were in it. Had two separate 'living' spaces, ample closets, dressers, and the bedrooms felt more spacious than the pictures show. As we were there off-season, not much was open, and we did all the cooking at home. We would recommend if you like to cook, to bring your favorite spices/etc as the kitchen was stocked with the bare essentials. Overall, Jennifer's home was perfect, and would be the perfect getaway in the summer for a couple or small family or in the winter, if you're looking for a nice place to unwind. Jennifer was very responsive especially considering we arrived on Christmas Day and left of New Years. Would definitely recommend Jennifer's home if you're seeking a Cape escape in Orleans!! This is our 2nd year staying here for vacation for our family of four. The house was clean and felt cozy. We loved being in walking distance to Skaket beach our two girls loved playing for hours in the tide pools. The location was excellent as we could easy go into town, the bike trail, or take a day sightseeing the other local towns.

Our girls loved the backyard as there was lots of yard games and a private space to run around. My husband and I loved waking up with coffee on the private deck. Jennifer checked in to make sure we were ok while we stayed and prior to checking out. We plan on returning to vacation here as often as we can!

We had one of our best Cape vacations yet at this home. It's a bit more difficult to find the perfect home and spot with a young child, but this was it!

The property itself is amazing; situated on a private road, abutting a marsh with lots of bird life. The lawn was lush and there are trees providing nice shade. It's hard to find a place with an actual (grass) lawn to hangout on and not be sitting in pine needles and dirt!

Hot tub was an added bonus that we didn't even need, but certainly used! Our daughter LOVED it. We didn't cook, but used the deck to eat some takeout meals, and the retractable awning came in handy.

The inside of the home is newly renovated and very clean, which is VERY important to me. Mini AC splits through the house provided cooling, because it was very warm and humid.

Proximity is within short walking distance to Skaket Beach, but also a perfect spot in general for all the places we love to go.

Jennifer was very friendly and easy to communicate with during the booking experience and whenever called upon while we were there. We have already secured next years trip to The Skaket Beach House. I can't say enough about the entire experience, and already cannot wait until next year!

My family of five that included three young boys absolutely loved this house. We have stayed in many "We Need a Vacation" Cape houses over the years, and this was hands down the best. Although only two beds/one bath, it was not an issue for two adults and three kids. The dual living rooms made it feel much bigger inside. The basement, although not pictured here, is a child's dream; air hockey, video games, darts, etc. It made rainy days enjoyable, and kept my children from the constant phrase "I'm sooo bored!!" The deck and views were amazing along with the hot tub particularly on the chilly evenings. The kitchen beautiful, clean, and a pleasure to cook in. The best feature in my mind though was the close proximity to Skaket Beach. We would drive down, my husband would drop us off, and he'd take the 10 minute walk back to join us for the beach day. Great money saver too on the daily $20 beach fee parking. The homeowner is a great communicator and was a pleasure to work with! Highly recommended if you can get a week - don't wait, it won't last!

Location is great! We walked to Skaket Beach a few times and drove to Nauset Beach easily. The home was right for our family of 4 (and small dog). Our boys enjoyed the backyard games that were provided and we spent plenty of nights on the deck playing family trivial pursuit while enjoying the cool evening breeze. The owners were great with keeping in touch throughout the week and answering all of our questions. Overall, great experience!

Our family of 3 rented this house for the first week of August this summer 2020. This location is perfect for accessing some of the best lower cape beaches, especially one of our favorites Skaket Beach. The house was very clean on arrival and well equipped. We loved the back deck with huge awning and had most of our meals outside. We saw all kinds of wildlife from there including deer walking through the marsh and lots of bunnies and owls.

My son really enjoyed the basement games and we had many Ms Pac-Man competitions that week! The week we stayed was very hot so we barely used the hot tub, even at night, but it was a nice option to have. We have rented in the lower cape for many years and think this may be the house that we keep coming back to.

The layout makes this house feel larger than it is and offers many comfortable sleeping options. Because of this years Covid complications we really didn't know what to expect once we arrived but ended up having a really great time. Parking is limited at beaches this year so Skaket filled quickly. We highly recommend the beaches in Brewster especially Crosby beach for kids. Beach passes can be bought daily online and makes parking very easy for out of state guests. This house is close to everything but also hidden from noise and traffic its the perfect spot. We will definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this house - it had it all and had such a welcoming vibe. I kept thinking that there is no reason to stay at any other rental house when returning to the Cape. It was clean, comfortably, perfect for families with kids and perfectly located. There really isn't anything else you can ask for!

We absolutely loved our stay at this home! The house was impeccably clean and the layout was perfect for our family of four. Having multiple living areas plus the basement game room makes this home feel much bigger than it is. The yard is so peaceful and beautiful whether relaxing in the hammock or enjoying the porch. It is just a 10 minute walk to Skaket Beach so not having to deal with beach parking was another big plus. It was fully stocked with everything we could possibly want from beach gear to kitchen tools to Roku/cable and books/games. Wi-fi signal was strong and reliable which we needed to work and school from home. Jennifer was easy to reach and quick to respond to any questions. We definitely hope to stay in this house again, we were very sad to leave!

Beautiful and spacious house overlooking a picturesque marsh. Skaket beach is a short 10 min walk. My husband and I had a great time getting out of the city for the weekend. Thank you!

Great home in a great location. Jennifer's house is in a great location- along the water with back yard bird watching and close to beaches and bike trails. Her house is comfortable with great amenities (hottub, grill, well equipped kitchen); we felt right at home.

I would highly recommend this house to anyone staying in Cape Cod. The house was beautiful, clean, and had nice amenities. We stayed in March so got good use out of the fireplace and hot tub. We also enjoyed the game room. Jennifer was a great host very nice and answered any questions we may have had quickly. We would love to stay here again. It was nothing but a positive experience.

My boyfriend, dog and I had a great stay at Jennifer's place. The house is completely updated. We came in the winter and took advantage of the fireplace and hot tub, and we walked to the nearby beaches and were easily able to drive to Ptown to spend a day. Jennifer was easy to reach and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend!

We had a great time at this house. Very comfortable for our family of five. Jennifer was super responsive to any questions we had. We went in the winter, so I can't comment on swimming etc, but the beach is close enough to walk to with a beach cart. We loved that the grocery store was so close, we have food allergies, so easy access to a large grocery store is a huge bonus. Our kids had a blast playing air hockey tournaments in the basement and using the hot tub in the evenings. It's not a huge house, but there was plenty of room for everyone. My husband and I would hang out by the fireplace in the evening, reading or watching a movie and the kids could watch sports or a movie in the family room. Kitchen was well appointed and we were able to cook and clean up with ease. Overall we had a great time and would definitely rent again.

Lovely home, a great escape! Comfy, cozy and has everything you need for a nice getaway. Jennifer is a very responsive hostess committed to making a great stay.
