Packett was Wayne's Aunt Olivia's married name and it seemed right to pay homage to Lawrence (Blondie) and Olivia (Liv) by giving it their name--hence Packett House. We have been renting Packett House since 1999 and pride ourselves on meeting the needs of our guests by welcoming them to a clean, well-equipped and comfortable home away from home. When our guests arrive we greet them personally to see if they have any questions about the house, area or a special need we can accommodate. Each year we look forward to meeting new visitors as well as catching up with those who have stayed previous years.
What is special about this property?
We thought we would let our guest book comments tell you what is special about this property:
“What a delightful house and the best equipped of any house we have ever stayed! Thanks for thinking of all the little details. “
Mary and Bob A. (Cromwell, CT, Sept 2001)
“Thanks so much for all the wonderful, thoughtful touches in this wonderful house—we’ve come to the Cape for nearly 15 years and this was the best ever!!”
Joe, Carole & Sam S. (Skaneateles, NY, Aug 2002)
“This is our third year renting in Orleans and your home is the cleanest and most thoughtfully equipped. We immediately felt at home here. Thanks again.”
Alec, Marisa, Hazel and Ged L. (Arlington, MA Aug 2006)
“We had a magical week. .. Everything was perfect – the videos for the kids, the yard and patio, the proximity to the bike path and beach.''
Leeanna, Paul, Annabel and Donavan C. (Tuckahoe, NY Aug 2014)
“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the Cape. It’s obvious that you take a lot of pride in maintaining the cleanliness and character of the house. ... the perfect size for our family of four, the backyard, patio, shower and use of the garage for our bikes/canoe/beach gear were some of our favorite features.''
Sincerely, Eric, Jen, Caroline & Patrick M. (Weathersfield, CT Aug 2015)
“This was our 5th year staying at your lovely home on the Cape. And as always the boys enjoyed playing in the big backyard as they did playing at the beach. See you next Summer.”
Lisa and Mike S. (Fairlawn, NJ Jun 2017)
