    Wonderful!

This house is absolutely beautiful. The view is incredible, it's impeccably clean and well stocked, and the walk to the beach is only about 10 minutes. The hosts were also very responsive and helpful. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. It was so hard to leave!

Wonderful Vacation Home with views of Marsh

We had a wonderful stay in this house. We loved the sunroom on the back of the house that overlooks the marsh with views of the water. We had some nice dinners on the back deck as the sun was setting. Our kids loved walking to the beach on the path through the woods- it was amazing to exit the wooded path out to an open view of the beach- we had a great morning walk from the house to the beach to collect shells and walk through the tidal pools. We also loved walking over to Skaket beach (from the private beach that you exit out onto)- our kids loved swimming in the clear water. The house had all the amenities- kitchen is amazing, bedrooms were very nice. The owners were responsive and easy to work with. I would highly recommend staying here. show more show less

    Perfect Vacation with Breathtaking Views

We spent a wonderful week at this gorgeous home at the beginning of August. We arrived around 5 p.m. and walked into a magical glow over the marsh streaming in through the sunroom and living room windows. The house was perfect, in fact, it has had a chef's dream kitchen renovation since these photos were taken and many rooms have been repainted and refreshed.

We found the home perfectly comfortable with air conditioners in each room so everyone could control their own level of air, lots of seating, comfy beds, two full bathrooms and extras like board games, cornhole and beach chairs. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, etc and it was a nice surprise to find dish soap and basic spices that we could use. There were good tvs and cable but we really didn't turn them on, too much to see and do. We rented our linens using the company suggested and they were waiting for us when we arrived and we left them out front when we departed. It was very easy. The laundry machines in the house were new and large.

We were three generations (the youngest are teenagers) and we found we had lots of options for sleeping. A few things to note about the layout of the house. The room with the pull-out sofa is on the main level off the living room, kind of like a den. Lots of privacy for someone should they want it. The master bedroom was enormous and spanned the width of the house giving it street and marsh views. It had a door directly into the shared upstairs bathroom. The bedroom with the queen bed is at the back overlooking the marsh and very comfortable. The twin room was at the front of the house and also had the laundry in it. You have to walk through this room to get to the large bonus room that had a king sized bed and a set of bunkbeds. This was not a problem for us, the teens felt they had their own wing.

The location of the home is spectacular. You can look out over the marsh and see the ocean. There was always some sort of wildlife to watch on the marsh, the changing tides and people walking their dogs on the beach in the distance all provided great entertainment. The home is at the end of a cul de sac so there is no car traffic at all, it was so quiet. We walked to the beach every day. It is a short walk to the private beach entrance and it felt like we had it to ourselves a lot of the time. The beach is perfect for families with very small waves and huge swings in the tides.

My husband and son took full advantage of the kayaks at the house. They would walk out the back door, across the lawn and enter the marsh at high tide and paddle out to the ocean. It was spectacular.

This really was a gem and we hope we can return. Our hosts were so helpful and we could easily reach them should we have needed to.

    Beautiful home with amazing views

We had a wonderful week at this beautiful home. It is very spacious, well maintained, in a very quiet area of Orleans, and equipped with anything you could possibly need. It is very convenient to the beach, town, shops & restaurants. The owners are very accommodating, helpful and quick to answer any questions you may have. The views and sunsets are amazing. If you're looking for a rental in Orleans, we would highly recommend staying here.

    Incredible views

The location of this home is key, and the view from the house/back porch onto the marsh and bay is incredible. We were two families with 3 kids all under six years old and all had a great time. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The kids enjoyed the bonus room downstairs that had games and space for them to play. We enjoyed lawn games in the yard and grilling in the evenings, and walking to the lovely bay beach along the quiet paths during the day. The outdoor shower was so nice after the beach.

The homeowners were easy to communicate with, accurate in the descriptions of the home, and have some great tips about the area. We would definitely stay again.

    Great Home and Location

We enjoyed our stay at this home. The home had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay for our family and the location was fantastic - being a short walk to a less crowded area than Skaket Beach. The house was very comfortable for our family and we hope to be able to stay again in the future!

    Wonderful Week

It is our second year renting this property and once again we had a relaxing and rejuvenating week.

The property was spotlessly clean on arrival and the owners had thoughtfully provided ample wipes, sanitizer, masks etc. The property is comfortably furnished and has a beach cottage vibe. The kitchen is particularly well supplied. The backyard is nicely landscaped and maintained.

The neighborhood is blissfully quiet punctuated only by the sound of birds and the marsh winds. It is a real plus being able to walk or kayak to Skaket beach where the water is tempting and clear. The sunsets from the back deck are unbelievable.

It would be easy to spend the week on the deck drinking in the amazing vista but in addition to Skaket and Nauset beaches Nickerson State Park is definitely worth a trip for hiking, biking and lake swimming. We were regulars at the Hot Chocolate Sparrow for our morning coffee and at the Ice Cream Cafe for our evening desert.

Thanks to the owners for sharing their wonderful home.

    Great Property

Our family and extended family of 10 stayed during a week in July. The house was perfect for us. It's located back off of a gravel road out of the way of traffic with lots or yard space for our young kids. The week was hot but the house stayed more than comfortable, even with 10 people, with the A/C units. The beach was easily walkable or canoeable during high tide which kept the kids busy for a good portion of the day. Homeowners were great to deal with and very accommodating with everything. show more show less

    A wonderful Cape oasis

3 generations of our family--from young adult to grandmother--fully enjoyed this wonderful house! Beautiful location, with views of the marsh that changed with the tides and the weather. Spacious, well-equipped house. Owners were lovely to deal with.

We especially appreciated being able to walk to Skaket beach, through quiet local streets, and the use of the canoe and kayak to navigate to the beach at high tide. We had most dinners on the deck with beautiful sunset views. We hope to be back! show more show less

Laura grew up going camping with her family at Head of the Meadow in Truro. She then enjoyed many years on the Cape with Brian and their three sons. They have owned their home on Marshwind Lane for five years and hope to some day live there year round.

What is special about this property?
The view of the marsh and the bay from the entire back of the house is priceless. You can see the water from the kitchen, sun room, living room as well as the upstairs bonus room and two bedrooms. We love to watch the spectacular sunsets from the back deck. Our boys love to play badminton in the back yard or paddle from the back yard to the beach through the marsh.
We love how quiet the neighborhood is and really enjoy being able to walk to the beach or ride our bikes to the Chocolate Sparrow for coffee or the Rock Harbor Grill for dinner.

What is special about your town?
We love walking or riding to town to get ice cream, shop or continue on the bike path. We have spent many years going to the Orleans baseball games at Eldridge Park. We can swim in the ponds or go candle stick bowling.
