This is the second year we have stayed at this home. The house itself is great, particularly the very well equipped and well laid out kitchen. And the location cannot be beat. You are within walking distance to a private beach and have access to kayaks and SUP boards. The host has also provided bicycles for guests to use. An ideal spot for spending your Cape Cod vacation!

The house is spacious, well laid out for togetherness and privacy, and brilliantly provisioned in every way (kitchen, linens, bikes, kayaks). And immaculate.
The property, especially the tree canopy, is beautiful. The long pier on the nearby private beach allows for diving even at low tide. The owner is responsive and welcoming. A really great place.

We had a great 4th of July week at this Orleans Cape House. For the week there were 2 adults and 3 kids (ages 8, 5, 2) and 3 other adults joined us for shorter parts of the stay. House was very spacious, clean and well stocked. Beach was perfect for our 3 kids, it was calm, clear and water was warm. Was a little tricky pushing our stroller uphill back to the house from the beach but otherwise perfect. We saw amazing fireworks from the beach on the 4th as well. Orleans is a short 10 min drive away with a great playground and plenty of stores and restaurants. Owner was very responsive to all our questions and requests. Overall a great find.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in South Orleans with a family group of 9, including children and grandchildren. Amenities are thoughtful and thorough, including an amazingly well-equipped kitchen, generous stocks of condiments and basics, air conditioning and purification, TVs in 3 of the 4 bedrooms, availability of streaming services, generous supply of linens and towels, availability of bicycles and kayaks for guest use. All reflect a generous spirit toward guests. We would definitely recommend this accommodation.

We enjoyed a fabulous 2 weeks in this Lake Drive home. We did lots of cooking in the very well equipped kitchen and enjoyed the private beach and waters of Pleasant Bay. The house is well laid out to accommodate up to 8 people with plenty of room to spread out. Everything one would want to make a vacation a pleasurable experience is at your fingertips! Just a great house and location.

The house is very complete. There is everything you could want in the kitchen, AC is great, beautiful location, a ocean bay beach 5 minute walk away, kayaks, bikes, TV and Wi-Fi, safe, nice furnishings, quiet. Just great.

What a wonderful week we had in this comfortable, well-supplied, beautifully furnished and conveniently located home. This property is walking distance to a small private beach and within driving distance to many local attractions. The owner pays attention to the smallest details from a comprehensive assortment of spices to a collection of bicycles available for your enjoyment. The house is clean and even has an electro-static air purifier in every room! The kitchen has every appliance you'll ever need to cook wonderful meals and an outdoor patio to relax on after a day full of activities! We will certainly return next year!

What a gorgeous home you've created! There's lots of space for hanging out, which was perfect for the group of girlfriends who traveled together for this getaway. The home is beautifully appointed and has every convenience in the kitchen, a large TV, lots of games and a lovely outdoor seating area. It's also a short walk to the beach, where we enjoyed dipping our feet in the water and hanging out in the dock. We didn't have a chance to ride the bikes or go out in the kayaks, but we'll definitely be back! Thank you!

This was one of the nicest vacation homes that I have ever been to. It is super well appointed and organized. The host has thought of absolutely everything one might need and there are even 15 bicycles to fit every size. From the linens to the wine glasses, everything is high end. The granite island in the kitchen is so beautiful it is like a work of art. I cannot recommend staying here more highly!

Beautiful house with all the amenities. Central location to visit all parts of the Cape. Walking distance to a lake, plenty of kayaks and bikes for exploring. House had a fully stocked large kitchen, fire pit, WIFI if you need to work, large TV, quiet neighborhood. Highly recommend it. Hope to rent again.

The single floor house with private beach was terrific for us. We seniors, I with mobility issues, came with our children and grandchildren so we each had separate wings of the house. The outside ramp was great for my rollator, and getting up the main few steps was not hard. The open living space was so convenient, right near the gourmet kitchen, and the outside space added to the fun of the lovely home. Our kids and grandkids loved the kayaks and bikes too! We immediately signed up for next summer!

We had a wonderful month long stay as we home schooled and virtually worked from your house. Lunches and breaks we'd walk to the beach. We enjoyed the bikes, birds and even enjoyed a red fox sighting.

The neighbors were friendly and wonderful as we had the opportunity to speak to many.

We fished from the dock, kayaked to the island for a wonderful hike and enjoyed listening to the many birds and slapping of fish on the water. We named the seals that pop up from fishing every so often.

Jeffrey's house was so amazing from the kayaks and private beach (on the bay) to the bikes and lovely private development this house has a lot to offer! Everything was clean when we arrived and the HEPA air filters were on. The house is a bit more spacious than in the pictures and the outdoor patio with fire pit is very nice. Jeffrey responded to all of my texts right away. Everything is very organized and there is a great binder that gives all kinds of instruction and tips. I would definitely recommend this house!

A wonderful 2 week stay. We hosted our daughter and her family and the house gave us lots of space and privacy. Very comfortable, well equipped, generously and thoughtfully outfitted. Excellent technology. Lovely, large wooded property with expansive brick terrace a short walk to a private beach on Pleasant Bay. Beautiful. It was perfect for little children and we enjoyed swimming off the dock and using the house kayaks. Our host was responsive and considerate. All in all, a great vacation.

My family and I had an amazing stay this past summer. The house is lovely and the location is perfect. It is on a woodsy lot with a great patio and fire pit perfect for hanging out at night. The house is steps from a beach and comes equipped with kayaks, bikes, beach chairs and anything you would need for a beach day. I have rented many houses but this house was stocked better than I could have imagined - every appliance, games, towels - candles, anything you could possibly need was there!

The house is a California mid century contemporary and is completely charming and unique. Nothing cookie cutter about it! The location is great - getting anywhere was a breeze. We will definitely be back to the Cape and look forward to renting here again!

We had a great week! We enjoyed the kayaks, bikes, barbecue, puzzles, games and all. The house was very comfortable and spacious for our family. We've been to the Cape many summers and this was one of our favorite houses.

We've had our 4th year in a row here at Lake Life. Love this house and neighborhood. Spent time at Nauset and Skaket Beaches. Also time here kayaking and fishing, even saw a seal at the end of the dock here. Found a new great Sushi place in Chatham called Blue Fin. We also did the nature trail a few times. Also went to a few baseball games of course as well. Some of our group did the drive in theater in Wellfleet. Also love lobster rolls and fish tacos from the Knack and Gangs. Love the new grill here at the house.

This is our second time renting this house. Very private setting, 2 minute walk to private beach and only 15 minutes form Nauset Beach. The beds are comfortable. Central air, gourmet kitchen . Open floor plan with two separate wings with bedrooms and a full bath at each wing. Great for several adult couples to provide privacy and fun. Great family area too.

It's been so fun... We've truly been on the run, basking in the sun. Your glasses are perfect for chocolate mile and the bedsheets feel like silk. We're celebrating a birthday, what can we say - as we lay in the Pleasant Bay!!

And now for a poem we wrote:

We recently rented this lovely, comfortable, well appointed home for two weeks so we could enjoy it with our kids and grand kids. It was everything the owner described and more in his listing. Lots of windows and very private lot, so the home was always bright and secluded.
The kitchen was outstanding! It was spacious, bright, well appointed with all modern appliances, including a wine/beer bar area. There was a humongous island where you can prep, cook, eat and never feel cramped. There are herbs growing in window boxes, large pantry to hold your stuff as well as supplies to share.
The living room again was large with huge couch and tv with cable and WiFi. There was a large fireplace, which was stocked with wood. Dining table was large enough for about 10 people...but we did most of our eating outside or on the spacious kitchen eat in island.
The MBR was on one side of house with a comfortable, king size bed. Lots of windows with shades for all. The single beds and sun room was also on that side, worked out well for some of the kids to sleep and as a play room. Sliding barn door for privacy between the two rooms.
The other bedrooms, one with king size bed and one two two full sized beds, were again comfortable and large enough to accommodate porta cribs and kid sized air mattress.
There was a butlers pantry for more storage and additional appliances. The foyer was bright with a closet. The laundry room boasted dual Bosch front loaders, and it was used a lot!
The outdoor space had a large glass table for dining, a gas fire pit, gas bbq and a gas heater.
There were two central air conditioners and ceiling fans in all the rooms. It was very hot while we were there, and the house stayed very cool!
The owner was very easy to contact and work with throughout the entire rental process.
I highly recommend this listing, and I look forward to renting again in the future!

We had our 3 rd year at Lake Life LLC and it’s a home away from home. Perfect for extended families and families with children, so convenient to the small private beach, and a beautiful setting. Can’t recommend this house enough! Great location between Orleans and Chatham and walk to the beach. House has lots of fun amenities including kayaks and bikes.

What a wonderful house for a family vacation! Beautiful and spacious, with all the comforts of a home away from home. Comfy beds (all with sheets and towels provided), great bathrooms, a huge, fully stocked kitchen with every pot/pan/gadget you can think of, a garage filled with bikes, and kayaks at the ready by the bay down the hill. A gem of a house!

This was the perfect venue for our family gathering and to celebrate the lives of my husband and daughter. There were 27 of us in 3 different houses. I was so glad to be able to stay in the Quanset Harbor Club - my husband and I lived at 17 Shoal Lane for many years. After we moved to Maine in 1994, we returned many times to stay with our friends at 100 Lake Drive! Lots of good memories!

We were very pleased with the choice of this home for our 60th anniversary and two birthdays. Among the many things we liked was the privacy between the master suite and the guest bedrooms, but with plenty of room to gather together in the living room and kitchen. The location was good and the pictures on the internet proved accurate... what you see is what you get.

Jeffrey's place was awesome. Updated Horner kitchen, new high end air conditioning, beds are comfortable and wifi and cable great. Exceeded our expectations and we have rented lots of houses. Highly recommend this house. Great location.

“The place is amazing. My family had an excellent time. The kitchen has every conceivable gadget that could be needed. The beach access not great for swimming, we needed to travel to the ocean or bay beaches to swim. The kayak's were fun to use. Would recommend this house to anyone.”

Our family of six (3 adults and 3 teens) found this house to be a perfect fit. Everyone had their own space, and the house is large enough where you can find privacy easily. The home is decorated nicely and the towels and sheets provided are of good quality. The kitchen is well appointed so plan on cooking at home. The grounds are secluded and the owner provides bikes and kayaks which I recommend using. Its a short walk or drive to a private beach with a dock which the kids enjoyed jumping off of! It was a great spot to hit at the end of the day when we didn't feel like lugging everything to one of the area's public beaches. The owner was easy to work with and readily available to answer any questions we had.

We have rented on the Cape for years and this is the first time we took a chance on a property that wasn't within walking distance to our favorite beach, Skaket in Orleans. We missed the ease but found the house offered things like ample space, recreational equipment and woodsy grounds, which made it worth while. We could still take advantage of all of our favorite Cape activities in and around Orleans without any difficulty.

Bottom line, we had a great week and will consider renting this house in the summers that follow!

If you are looking for a peaceful, luxurious getaway done your way, this is the rental for you! This is a beautiful, light, spacious, nature-lover's dream. The house is tucked away in a private community with a private beach just a few minutes walk away. It's great for relaxing, but it also comes equipped with plenty of bikes, kayaks and beach wares for your use. The house is situated within a short drive of several of Cape Cod's best towns and beaches. The stunning, gourmet kitchen is the icing on the cake, complete with a windowside herb garden and fully stocked with everything you could possibly need to prepare the finest of meals. The owner was great to deal with and the house was clean and in great condition. We would highly recommend this rental for families big and small.

This is unique place at the cape because it's not filled with doilies and grandparents furniture like so many other listings there. The master bedroom is huge. Only minus is that you had to go into master bedroom to use one of the two bathrooms in the house. Well supplied kitchen and lots of great amenities. The beds are soft but surprisingly comfortable. Great to have linens and towels supplied rather than having to bring our own, which is often the case at Cape rentals. The beach nearby is really fantastic. They have a wonderful pier to jump off of for our daily swim. Pleasant Bay is gorgeous. Kids saw a seal while kayaking and they loved paddling around. Bikes were also a big bonus.

Wonderful extended family vacation at Lake Life in Orleans. The house is the perfect set up for multiple families. The gourmet kitchen makes cooking while on vacation fun. Nice patio and outdoor seating area including a new fire pit. Great child family beach and amenities including kayaks for exploring the Bay and a quiet private neighborhood with nature trails. Perfect location between Orleans and Chatham. Highly recommend Lake Life.

WOW...everyone's first word upon entering this house. Five stars all the way! The inclement weather gave us time to really enjoy the kitchen, which was nicely stocked with fresh window herbs and an assortment of pantry items. The home was clean and comfortable, and configured perfectly for two small families to enjoy each other's company, but retire to separate wings. Jeff has thought of everything, and was extremely responsive. We look forward to visiting this beautiful home in the future!

What a gem...we have rented on Cape Cod many times over the years...this was by far the best...this beautiful property had everything that we needed and so much more...our adult children thought having access to the kayaks was their favorite part...when we asked if there was a fire pit...Jeff put a beautiful gas one in for us! Fabulous!!! The beach was awesome. Love the awesome kitchen, & really appreciate the drawer content labels and notebook containing all the need-to-know information. Love the provided linens & towels & bikes & kayaks. Appreciate the extra amenities such as ample plugs (including USB), ample hooks for hanging towels & hats, detergent & facial tissues. The hose for rinsing sand off by the front door was heaven-sent.

There were so many things about the house which didn't have to be provided or first-rate, but were. Even when extra extended family members dropped in, there was room for everyone.

The photos on the walls elicited comments from everyone. The freshness & cleanliness met the most stringent critic's standards. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Our extended family enjoyed an amazing week at Lake Life LLC. The amenities were fabulous including kayaks and bikes. The house was very well provisioned and the kitchen was a dream to cook in or prep food for the grill. We had three children and 6 adults and had plenty of room to spread out. The house itself is modern and very clean and neat. The walk to the beach is about 2 minutes and the beach was beautiful and peaceful. My 70 year old father said it was his favorite house we had ever rented. And we can't wait to stay again. The owner Jeff was very nice to work with and very accommodating. I highly recommend this rental for two families or extended family. We had beautiful weather all week and enjoyed lots of time outside. Also we loved the location between Orleans and Chatham. Very easy to get into town. In addition the neighborhood was beautiful and quiet and had nature trails that we enjoyed every day.

Our family did not lack for anything during the week that we stayed at this house! Everything was very well thought-out -- from the first aid station in the bathroom to the extra towels and bed linens. The kitchen is huge, with every utensil and appliance we could have wished for, and everything is labelled, so we weren't left searching. The decor is stunning, and the layout of the house was perfect for our extended family. The beds were plush and comfortable. The property felt brand new and very, very clean. The kids enjoyed the beach, which was a short walk from the house. We had young children with us, and the calm bay water was great -- for them, and for our peace of mind. We also appreciated having use of the bikes and kayaks (which meant we didn't have to haul them from home). Overall, we had a fantastic time, and would not hesitate to recommend this property!

My family stayed at this home in 2014. This year, my brother and his wife joined us. They couldn't stop raving about the place. The house is spectacular, featuring every possible amenity. The location is superb. And the owner is committed to making sure vacationers have everything they need to maximize their enjoyment. 2015 was truly an outstanding vacation!

Our stay at 'Lake Life' was amazing. The house is updated to seem as though it was just built. Gourmet kitchen with ultra high end appliances, huge island. 6 ceiling fans and central air with Nest thermostats to keep you comfortable. Great collection of books, games, DVDs, and a Wii to keep you busy on a rainy day (though it didn't rain during our stay!)

Perhaps the best features are the outdoor amenities, including private community beach access on Pleasant Bay, with kayaks, sail dinghy, and dock. Plenty of new bicycles of all sizes in the shed to enjoy a ride through the private community roads, which was great for our kids. Back patio was relaxing, as was the outdoor shower after a day at nearby Nauset Beach.

Location in Orleans was ideal - close to town, Orleans Firebirds, Emack & Bolios (very important), Rock Harbor, etc. Easy to get to outer Cape if you feel like it - 40 mins to P-town.

Owners have it covered down to the smallest details.

Beautiful home in a great location. Perfect for one or two families to share. Wonderful top of the line accommodations. Kitchen is a real cook's dream. Everything you can imagine to cook with and high quality. Plenty of toys for adults or kids...kayaks, boats, rafts, etc., and the beach is a short 5 minute walk away. Quiet neighborhood. Close to town and the ocean and bay beaches.

I spent the time with three friends. We were all impressed with this beautiful house in a beautiful spot in Orleans. The house had every amenity one can imagine. Not the typical rental house. It was beautiful, clean, and contemporary. Everything was up to date. Even over the top with wine fridge and huge TV. The floor plan is such that it is suitable for almost any sleeping arrangement whether it's a family with kids or unrelated couples. Having a huge kitchen, huge open public area + spacious outside patio for dining or entertainment makes it ideal for anyone and everyone. The house is a very short walk to a private sandy beach that is part of the association.

The homeowner provided two almost new kayaks, paddles, life jackets, etc. for our use. If kayaking is not your thing, we found several bicycles in the shed that come in different sizes, etc. We alternated between eating in and going out. Eating in was very easy...grill inside the kitchen or grill outside on the patio. Of course Orleans has so many restaurants. The hardest part was choosing which one. We are looking forward to returning to this gem of a house. Thank you.

Lake Life was an incredible stay for me and my family. The house was spacious and very clean with games and movies provided for us! The beach, which was very private, is 3 houses away from the house with kayaks and a dingy. The owner was extremely nice, helpful, and resourceful. We appreciated the guide book that was left for us that had activities for our family to do around Orleans. Orleans was a great little town with so much to do and great restaurants and great ice cream. We liked it so much we are already planning on coming back next year!!

This will long be remembered as one of our favorite Cape rentals. We especially loved the kitchen. It's a dream! The bedrooms are spacious and the beds quite comfortable. We appreciated having linens, towels, even beach towels provided. As for the location, it was amazing! A brief walk and we were at the beach and ready to kayak. The neighborhood was great for a morning run.

In short, we had a blast!

This is a really lovely house hitting the perfect balance of modern luxury and rugged charm. It is generously proportioned and comfortable, and the recent refurbishment is very tasteful. The well appointed kitchen is an absolute pleasure to cook in. I spent a week there in July with my husband and 3 kids; we enjoyed the peace and quiet as well as the fun of the kayaks and swimming. I would highly recommend it and am looking forward to going back again.

This is a newly remodeled and updated contemporary ranch in a lovely price association of South Orleans. If you like soaring cathedral ceilings, streaming Cape Cod light, and a fabulous flow to your vacation rental home, this is the place for you. I was lucky to rent it for two weeks in July and I was the first tenant in the home since the remodeling and updating was completed.

Over the two weeks I had as many as one to six guests. At all times everyone was more than comfortable and incredibly impressed with the home and setting. A daily five minute walk to the private association beach with dock was a true blessing, given the crowds at public beaches. A quiet safe harbor is just the place to embark on a kayak trip, equipment courtesy of the owners.

The home also has a terrific expansive brick patio which was just the place for me to host a Sunday morning brunch. The kitchen, in the expansiveness and state-of-the art equipment, was a bit intimidating to one such as I, who barely cooks! But a few friends and family certainly enjoyed its accoutrements. (high grade pots and pans, serving platters, new and lovely dishes and glasses, etc etc etc). The family room is very comfortable, and the home has plenty of high tech equipment. It was nice to have the cleaners arrive after the first week to change sheets and clean the house. Access to everything Orleans and environs has to offer is moments away. Plenty of parking. Truly a remarkable and memorable experience for me and all of my guests. I have rented property on the Cape for several years and must say that this was the best experience I have had!
