    Cape Cod Escape

We have been coming to this house for over 8 years. For our family, for one week a year, this place was a sanctuary.

The house sits on a large piece of property, with a large back yard. There are 2 large bedrooms on the first floor with queen beds, and an upper floor with 3 twin beds and a bathroom (this was where our kids stayed). The kitchen is well appointed with a nice stove, dishwasher and a large refrigerator. Lots of dishes and all the cooking accessories you need. There is also a modern washing machine and dryer as well.

We spent many evenings after a day at the beach on the back deck, enjoying the remainder of the day. Nights were spent putting puzzles together on the family room table, and many card and board games were played on the dining room table.

If you are into running, Nauset Beach is a pleasant manageable run for a beginner, with enough hills to make it challenging for even a more advanced runner. It is amazing to wake up in the morning, run to the beach and see the sun glinting of the ocean with the beach spread out in front of you.

The neighborhood is quiet, and just down the road is Nauset Farms, a store with it all. Yet, close enough the town center that restaurants and grocery shopping are convenient.

This is a great place to bring your family or share with another couple.

    Perfect Cape Cod experience

I've been renting houses on Cape Cod all my life and this was one of the very best. The location is perfect - quiet road, green secluded backyard with a picnic table and deck, walking distance from ice cream, pizza, farm market, and great coffee.

The layout of the house worked very well for three generations (the first half of our week) as well as two families with kids (the second half of the week). We could sit altogether in one of the two comfy living rooms or let one group watch TV/movie in one room while another group chatted in the other. The kids had their own space upstairs with a nicely remodeled bathroom. The kitchen was well-stocked with plenty of nice dishes, pots/pans, and cooking supplies plus there was room for everyone around the dining room table in a nook overlooking the yard. Games, puzzles, books and yet, no clutter! We look forward to returning! show more show less

    Great Family Vacation Home!

We have rented this home many times, and it has become our favorite place to stay while on the Cape. We always find the home to be very clean and tidy, kind of a "'mid-century modern meets beach" vibe. The upstairs is one large bedroom (3 beds with extra room to play), which is nice for kids. There are two living rooms, which suits us nicely because the kids can hang out in one while the adults read or relax in the other. The kitchen has everything you might need. We cook most of our meals while we are staying there. The dining area has a table that can seat all 7 of us. The homeowner, Susan, is always very courteous and responsive. We especially like that the home is so close to Nauset Beach, one of the loveliest beaches on the Cape. And Nauset Farms is practically right at the end of the street for groceries/breakfast sandwiches/wine/baked goods, etc. It is also just a short drive or bike ride to downtown Orleans shops and restaurants. What more could you want? show more show less

    Great House!

My family has come to the Cape for the past 7 years. This is the only house we have stayed in more than once. We really enjoy it. It is a spacious and comfortable house. Its proximity to Nauset Beach (a little over a mile) is a perfect fit for those who enjoy the ocean side. The house itself has everything we need, and Susan, the owner, is easy to communicate with. It's stress free vacationing and that's the way it should be.

The main level washer/dryer is convenient, and the three beds upstairs are perfect for our daughters. It has a nice and accessible back deck and comfortable furniture. The house has everything, and even had a container of cinnamon for my wife's morning latte! You can't go wrong with this place and I'm sure we'll stay here again. show more show less

Love this home! We can't wait to return this summer. It's very close to everything and having the laundry on the first floor is so convenient. Plenty of space for everyone. Great place to rent for families.

We wanted to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed your lovely home. We have been renting on the Cape for 25 years, and it was one of the most well equipped and comfortable homes that we have stayed in. You have great attention to detail and it shows that you have put much thought into providing everything that might be needed.
