BREWSTER TOWN and NEARBY TOURIST LOCALITIES:

The Brewster Beaches are famous on the Cape for the warm, calm bay waters. You can start swimming comfortably in the Brewster Beaches as early as Memorial Day and continue through Columbus Day. This is because of the way the ocean fills the flat-basin of the bay. When the tide goes out, you can walk a mile before you hit water. When the tide rolls in, the ocean is never deeper than 6 feet by the shore. The sun warms the water from above, and the sand warms the water from below. There are at least 6 large beach fronts in Brewster, with ample parking distributed in small parking lots throughout the town (daily or weekly beach stickers available).

There is a plethora of wonderful eateries all along Route 6, stretching into Orleans - a foodie's wonderland. Brewster also has one of the best land conservation policies on the Cape. There are dozens of hiking areas, not to mention Nickerson State Park, which is home to 4 large glacial lakes and hundreds of hiking trails.

    Perfect Location

Brewster is the perfect town to stay down the Cape, it is so easy to get to beaches, things to do and see, and even P-town.
The condo is perfectly comfortable for friends, or family. I have stayed here a few times with both. It seems to hold magical properties as my children didn't argue once the entire week!
I also really appreciate how the kitchen is supplied with everything we needed to make dinner when we didn't want to go out. I also really love the fact that there is a washer and dryer on site. So helpful when staying more than a few days! show more show less

    Great Family Spot!

Our family of 5 rented the Brewster Roost two years in a row and had a wonderful summer vacation both years. The unit is well appointed with everything you need and Chris is extremely responsive and thoughtful. We loved that we were able to bring our Yorkie as well. The location is ideal with easy access to the pool, fitness center, bike trails. It was a pleasure staying at this property!

    Great Cape Get-Away

The Brewster Roost was so comfortable and Chris was incredibly accommodating. The Brewster Roost had everything you need for a get-away on the Cape. The property was well stocked and well maintained. We enjoyed sitting out in back in the morning with our cup of coffee. A beautiful spot and so convenient to so many wonderful spots on the Cape. Chris was wonderful to work with and made the rental process so easy.

I've had the pleasure of visiting Chris's Brewster Condo at Ocean Edge Villages on 3 occasions; once in the winter and twice in the summer. My first trip in the winter was with one of my long time friends, and my summer visits were with my husband and parents. Chris is a wonderful remote host. He always communicates with me in a polite, friendly, and timely manner. He provides a lot of information about the unit and the local town, as well as provides his own personal tips. We used the kayaks on Blueberry pond, visited the resort spa, ate in the igloos on the Ocean Terrace (during the winter), and visited many of the local beaches. We even caught an minor league baseball game and went seal watching. My husband, Pat, and I loved being on the resort AND having the choice of being able to visit a restaurant or cook our home meals. This made family vacation budgeting something we could easily control. In short, the condo offered the best of all options, great location, lots of activities, convenience, and affordability. I will certainly be coming back again. of being able to visit a restaurant or cook our home meals. This made family vacation budgeting something we could easily control. We just got back from a fantastic 6 day vacation at Chris and Tamara's lovely condo. The unit was perfect for our family of 4 with 2 small children. It had everything we needed and was clean. We especially appreciated all the little touches like the coffee/tea bar, extra supply closet and all the labels around the unit. Ocean Edge was very special as well, and we utilized multiple pools, both indoor and outdoor depending on the weather. Brewster is fantastic- we loved the bay beaches snd the many wonderful restaurants, coffee shops and bakeries locally. It was also a perfect central location to visit other parts of the cape. We thoroughly enjoyed this vacation!

This is a very comfortable place, in the best sense. You can relax and enjoy the local area because there is a wide array of options that are so convenient. We have stayed at this condo twice because we loved the resort amenities and the access to amazing natural parks/trails in short drive. I get up in the morning and see ocean and top hotspots for birding within 20 minute drive. My high school son had consistent wifi access to online classes and then afterwards a swim in nearby heated pool. Such a nice merger of nature and amenities. We hope to return again soon.

I have used dozens of Airbnbs for my work but this a first as a family trip, my wife and 3 kids. I have never seen a place so well and thoughtfully provided with amenities. Even we did not need most of them it was good to have around and we felt instantly at home. Great location in a resort, so it feels safe and peaceful for kids to roam around. Ocean and biking trails are nearby. Chris and Tamara responded right away with helpful advice. Next time we will stay longer ! read less

    Welcome Everyone,

I have been renting our family vacation home for four years now with great success. For the past year, we have been solely using the WeNeedAVacation platform to reduce costs and keep our listing competitively priced. Last year, we have updated our unit with granite countertops, new kitchen appliances, and a new Mitsubishi ductless A/C and Heat Pump System.

What is special about this property?
Our property is the best of all worlds. When vacationing, do you opt for a hotel resort or a private home with much more sleeping space and cooking options? If you find yourself in a pickle, our property provides BOTH: a private home on the resort! The Villages of Ocean Edge Resort gives you a private home feel and helps you avoid the crowded space of the resort mansion (with its traditional hotel set up, long halls with rooms on either side). At the same time, you get all the benefits of the resort that would not be included in a private home. You are walking, jogging, or biking distance from all the resort amenities; there is even a shuttle to pick you up and drive you to the local beach and all around the resort, so you do not have to worry about finding a parking spot. Finally, you have the option: cook at home and save a buck, or hit the resort eateries. This option is especially important for families with small children, always on the move and cranky when not well fed.

    * Our Sports Club Membership grants you PAY-AS-YOU-GO access to all the amenities, except the private resort beach and the golf course from Memorial-Labor day. Guests can access the beach and golf-course out of season from the day after Labor Day to the day before Memorial Day. In-season, guests can access the resort beach bar from Ellis Landing Beach and use the driving range.

What is special about your town?
Brewster is a special town that Cape Cod visitors often overlook because it is sandwiched between two very distinct towns of Yarmouth and Chatham. The Hyannis/Yarmouth area is the family and budget friendly part of the Cape, with lots of bustling activity; whereas the Chatham area is pristine, quiet, and exclusive. We find Brewster is that perfect place on the bicep of the Cape that is not as exclusive as Chatham, not as busy as Hyannis/Yarmouth, and yet remains within an easy driving distance from Boston, unlike some of the other beautiful parts of the Cape heading towards Provincetown. Route 6 in Brewster has retained that old Cape Cod feel and has not been overdeveloped. I has a touch of both quaint and cosmopolitan, and offers a wonderful blend of casual as well as fine dining. The natural setting of Brewster is exceptional. It is the part of the Cape where the forest meets the beaches. The beaches themselves are pristine and this part of the bay is famous for its flat sea bottom. The bay fills and empties like a sink basin. At hightide, the water is hardly 8 feet deep. At low-tide, you can walk out a half-mile before hitting water. This natural phenomenon makes the waters the warmest on the Cape, the shore the most walkable, and the beaches the most family friendly.

P.S. shark sightings are few and far between on the Brewster beaches because the water is so shallow during low-tide. The bay beaches are simply perfect for families with small children.
