Fall is the most beautiful season on Cape Cod. There's no traffic, the temperature is perfect and the sunsets, are spectacular. Visit the farmer's markets and stroll the beautiful and historic towns. We have had wonderful summers here with our children and now grandchildren for over 40 years. This is the first year we have decided to share with renters. Our Cape home is near the end of a dead-end street full of trees, rabbits, and birds, not traffic. Walk 4 minutes to our spring-fed pond for a swim or grab one of our kayaks and paddle across to the larger sand beach to make sand castles. It is spring-fed, crystal clear, and only for residents of Fells Pond. The pond is also perfect for young children to play and swim without worrying about big waves.

If you prefer the ocean, South Cape Beach is an 8-minute drive or 15-minute bike ride. We have 3 adult and 2 kid bikes. It is perfect for swimming, sand castles, and strolling in search of the perfect shell. The sunsets from this beach are spectacular. There is also a 10-minute walking trail from the beach to Waquouit Bay, the perfect place to sail, kayak, swim, or fish. We have 3 kayaks (one, a double), a paddle board, lots of boogie boards, and beach toys. After your day at the beach take a refreshing outdoor shower and sit around our patio table while the gas barbeque heats up.

On the first floor of our home, you will find a large, well-equipped kitchen, a family room with a smart TV, a large front-to-back living room, and a bathroom with a shower. Upstairs you will find three bedrooms, two with king beds and one with a bunk and single bed. Here you will find the second bathroom with a tub and shower.     Cozy Cape Escape!

    Where do I begin to talk about our wonderful month in this warm and cozy home?
    Should I tell you that it was immaculate...and my standards are high? Perhaps I should tell you that if you sink into one of the living room down couches, you will never want to get up. Location? Perfect! It is as if the owners sat down with a list and put down everything a guest could want to make their vacation terrific. Honestly, I think they may have done that, which brings me to the most special part of this home.... the owners. Eileen and Gene are the kindest and most thoughtful people you could hope to meet when you rent a stranger's home.     This house is terrific! Beautifully furnished with very comfortable sofas and beds, spotless and every detail accounted for. Lovely deck with grill and tables and very short walk to pond and very short drive to lovely ocean beach. Kayaks and bikes provided, basically everything you could possibly need is there!
    Eileen is a wonderful host who went out of her way to provide information and supplies for all of us, including toys for inside and out for the young children.

    This is our first time renting but my nephew and cousins have used our home.
    This is from my nephew:

    My friends and I stay at the house every September and enjoy golfing at a number of the local courses. There is easy access to both a pond for a more tranquil swimming experience and the beach (recommend biking there). The house itself is recently updated with a beautiful bright kitchen. Multiple bedrooms provide privacy not available at all rentals. When the weather is nice, we grill on the back patio and relax outside. There is nothing better than using the enclosed outdoor shower to put you in the vacation mindset. Would highly recommend it for a getaway week or weekend. show more show less

    My dad bought this property 42 years ago and our children learned to swim in Fells Pond and now our grandchildren are doing the same. It is truly a little bit of heaven on the Cape. You can be neck deep and look down and see your feet. We love swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding there as well. South Cape beach is also a 10-15 bike or 5-minute car ride. The kids love going to the Poppy market to get ice cream and dance to the live music. This is our first time renting it so looking forward to hosting you in our wonderful Cape Escape.
